Need help removing a title from my library (yes, remove)

I had an adventure doing an in-store disc-to-digital conversion of a movie recently, where the movie showed up in my account but it was the wrong movie. Turns out there are 2 movies with the same name - "Last Man Standing". I have the movie made in 1996 that stars Bruce Willis; the other movie I've never heard of but it has the same title. After a painful process in-store, they were able to add the correct title to my account. They had no idea how to delete the incorrect title however.

I see some mods here opening cases .. I see no phone number support listed on the website so I will try this route. Can anyone help me get the wrong movie deleted from my account? I can give more details when necessary. Don't want to make my account id public so email would probably be best.

    Jim

I had that problem with the same exact movie, but I ended up keep the unwanted movie, because the actual movie "Last man standing" from 1996 starring Bruce Willis, is not available in HDX, so I'll wait to convert it. I had an issue with vudu before and received an email from support telling me to call if I needed further assistance. Here it is: 1-888-554-VUDU (8838) Open 7am-7pm PST. Hope this helps you out!.

If it's UV you may be able to delete it directly from your UVVU.com account. I had luck removing unwanted titles from there. It's a pretty buggy site though (OK, super buggy) so it may not take (I had problems removing Hollow Man SD).

Not a UV movie, I have the disc. I guess I will call the number and give it a shot. The Disc-to-Digital program has been around awhile now hasn't it? I see the word 'beta' all over the place for it, and I have to say a lot of the issues make it look like a beta, but how long is it going to stay in beta?

Almost no one in the Wal Mart stores knows how to convert the movies, there is at most one person who knows how to do it so you better be lucky when you go in there. I just had a problem converting Tombstone so I guess I will have to go in the store again .. ugh. I also wish they would add movies at a far faster pace than they anemically are now. You still can't convert 'The Usual Suspects' for chrissakes.

I just hope this service stays around and doesn't fail because it is being forsaken. I was shocked to see the low percentage of movies I own that would actually convert. This service is a great idea and I hope it survives.

        Thanks for the help guys.

Both versions of "Last Man Standing" are UV. Disc to Digital is for UV titles. So you could try it yourself on the UVVU.com web site.

The only movies that show up on UVVA.com are the ones I redeemed directly using a code that came with the disc. None of the discs I added to the library using Disc to Digital show up there.

15 minutes on hold but once someone got on the line they were able to delete the movie for me.

As an aside, I asked about the situation where you might want to upgrade from an SD version of a movie to an HD/X version when it became available. He said if you email customer support they would find a way to do it, whether it was something they do themselves or the issuance of a credit (I assume that means issuing you a $2 credit towards the regular $5 fee) for it. Although I guess if you have the blu-ray version of the disc, then the converstion to HD/X should be free (since you already paid $2 for the SD version).

I'd be a little skeptical over this being accomplished with an email, but it was good to hear.

There's a problem with your account somewhere along the line then. D2D movies show up in my UV account fine. Sometimes it takes a few refreshes to get them to show though. That's the way Disc to Digital works. It adds them to your UV account. They then transfer to all the UV compatible services. Vudu just gets them first because you used their D2D service. The UVVU site is the buggiest beta site I've ever used. Even if your movies don't show there, they are there.

Thanks for the info. I looked several times today, I do not see any D2D movies in there. I see all movies on the vudu.com website but not on the uvva.com website. I sent them an email to ask if they can assist. Thanks again.

Pretty weird. I just tried using IE instead of Firefox and initially the results were the same. I refreshed once, and all but one of my movies showed up. I then tried Firefox again and now all but one of the movies show up there too. This is all on the uvvu.com website, the vudu website is fine using either browser. Not sure what the magic is for the one movie that does not show up on uvvu, but as long as the vudu site works it doesn't matter.

You should be able to try to delete the movie you don't want from there now. Just go into the movie and click the trashcan. Sometimes it does not work though (it's a buggy site).

... to say the least and it doesn't appear to be fixed anytime soon.

Where would we go to complain?

You'd think since the studios are pushing UV, this would be a priority. Instead it's an embarrassment!
