Vudu-To-Go problems with cart & order.

I'm having trouble withe Vudu-to-Go. 1t shows that I have one disk in my cart. But when I click on the View Order button nothing happens. And when I tried to add Blu-ray Batman Returns to my cart I get this error message: "Error adding to cart, please try again". When I click the "Continue" button it doesn't respond. I have to quit the program and restart it. When I check the instore queue of movies I find it has been added there instead of to the at home movie queue. I remove the movie from the instore queue and try again and the same thing happens. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe AIR several times and the problem persists.

I just updated Vudu2Go to the latest version and updated Adobe Air and I'm having the same problem. I have 16 items in my cart that I'd kind of like to purchase, now that you support PayPal.

But when I click to view my order nothing happens. Likewise, when I insert a disc and it tells me there was an error identifying and I click continue or cancel, nothing happens, at all. It just sits on the same screen.

Did you guys break the VUDU2Go client at upgrade or something?

Just updated to the latest latest version, but it doesn't appear to resolve the issue... I click the View Order button and, still, nothing happens.

So, any idea when this will get fixed so I can buy my movies? Or do ya' not want my money?

You have to call support and have them remove your movies from the cart. Only way to get it to work.

Better not be the only solution... I've been putting these titles into my cart for a month or so, don't even know what all's IN my cart at this point (given I can't even OPEN IT to see what's in it)...

How is deleting the contents of my cart going to help anything? This kind of thing needs an actual RESOLUTION that doesn't require nuking the cart.

God forbid someone should legitimately put something in their cart and then dispose of the physical copy, on the assumption they will be able to shortly purchase said title(s) (and then VUDU manages to mangle their cart and then they can't purchase their titles anymore)?

Why would any one in their right mind dispose of their physical copy? I keep both in case something happens with the digital copy. You never know if there is a internet outage or if Vudu has technical issues, etc.

Re: Vudu-To-Go problems with cart & order.

Not saying I did dispose of them, as yet... Just that I could see it happening, if someone assumes things like this don't ever happen, which apparently they do.

But, again, I don't even know what items were *in* the cart, so I don't recall what items I'll have to dig out of my collection to re-add to it, if they do have to delete it... *Sigh* Annoying, to say the least.

As to "why" someone might dispose of their discs after converting to UV? To clear shelf space and get rid of stupid "barebones" DVD discs that are just wasting space. Not terribly worried about "outages." We've only ever had an internet or VUDU outage for like a day, if that. *Shrug* I've got other stuff I can do for a few hours or a day. Not a big worry. 'Sides, simple enough to download flicks with VUDU2Go and watch offline. Barring silly issues like this cart brain fart...

              -----

Well, I submitted a ticket. They had me nuke AIR, Flash, VUDU2Go, said the cart wouldn't survive the uninstalls.

It did. After all was said & done, it still says 16 titles, $31.50. Button still won't "click" to open / view the cart.

I've updated the ticket. We'll see what the next steps are.

Even tried deleting the Roaming --> Adobe --> AIR & Roaming --> Com.VUDU.AIR.Updater just in case it would make a difference, one of the uninstall / reinstall attempts. Didn't make a difference. Don't know where, if anywhere, the "cart" is stored locally, or whether it's stored strictly on their server, in which case it's strictly *their* issue / bugaboo?

You can kick and scream all you want too You can uninstall re load anything you want, I already went through this!

The only thing that works is to have Vudu clear your cart! I had a full cart too...oh well, had to start over.

Emailing and calling support did nothing...have fun then...

Makes me wonder... How big does a company need to get before they can ignore "customer service" and still turn a profit? This is ridiculous!

Im still using the old format (Thank God I also sell my DVD's after I purchase the HDX versions. I mean why watch SD when I have HDX. I sell my DVD's for about 3.00 and recoup some of the money I spent on converting.

Re: Vudu-To-Go problems with cart & order.

Well, it seems they did finally have to delete my cart, when all was said & done. Which does seem to have gotten things moving again. At least they printed me out a list of what titles were in my cart beforehand and I've readded most of them now, and a couple others.

Though, now I'm having a weird issue re-adding Terminator 2. Tells me it's having problems adding the resolution I want (HDX) and/or just adding to cart (SD). *Sigh* And it just flat won't recognize the disc from the Blu-Ray anthology (had to go back to my older Extreme DVD / "Skynet" Edition).

They're escalating that one, or something.

Hopefully they sort out these issues eventually...

                        Seems so... Sucky!

One would hope they'd have an actual technical solution of some sort available for this sort of thing. I mean, clearly, they knew what titles were *in* the cart and could clear it out from their end. Don't know why they couldn't simply "resurrect" the cart from their end too... Delete the titles, then re-add the exact same titles in a manner that didn't bugger up the system and that made the VUDU2Go app less broken when trying to load them.

C'est la vie. Could have been worse. At least it was only 16 titles and not 200...

Did anyone ever try installing VTG on another computer to see if your cart was accessible there?

I don't get it - this has worked fine and then randomly the only 2 buttons that matter ("Own" when converting AND "View Order") now don't do anything when I click them. Of course, all the other buttons are fine.

I really don't want to have to rescan everything....and seriously, they can't reload our cart for us if their software bugs out?

Just an FYI.....Otter0911 was absolutely correct. Nothing else worked other than clearing the cart (which requires a phone call) and they refused to reload the items they cleared.

Same problem here. Went to tech support said to uninstall and reinstall VuDu. No difference. Cannot see what is in cart, cannot add to it or check out as the hot buttons do not work. DVD's not being recognized too. MFU with the proggie.

Seems to me that the Beta update is a huge issue where as the prior update was not. Would make sense to me to roll back the previous version till the new one is fixed. Just my 2 cents.

To date nothing works and it has been 3 weeks! Someone outside USA doing the coding? Not a happy customer. Amazon is looking better for future purchases. So maybe not putting all your eggs in one basket is proving to be true.

And no I do not want to lug in my disc's to Walmart for conversion = what a foolish suggestion.
