    Ghost Busters Redemption

Will there be a link for redemption for the Ghostbusters 1 and 2 UV combo collection that came out today?

    Re: Ghost Busters Redemption

I could not find one on Vudu...I redeemed mine through the sonypictures site. I have the Blu-ray that came out today.

I already had Ghostbusters 1 & 2 in my UV & Vudu libraries, but they were in SD. When I redeemed the code on the sony site, I was expecting that my Vudu library would show HD. The strange thing is that Ghostbusters 1 now shows as HD, but Ghostbusters 2 does not. It only shows SD.

I've checked to insure that all the accounts are linked to UV, etc.

I'm still checking things out, but any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Multiple versions came out on Blu-ray today. Did you get the 2-movie digibook like the OP & I (and I assume most people), or did you accidentally pick up just GB 1? I entered my code at Sony and got GB 2 in HDX on Vudu. (I already had GB 1 in HDX thru D2D from the 2009 Blu-ray.) Also try refreshing the GB 2 page.

Only GB 1 shows up on the Vudu redemption page. However, if you do a general search for Ghostbusters it returns a 2-movie bundle along with the individual movies; that bundle itself has a UV redeem button, which is what you need for the digibook (it has a single UV code for both films).

I got the 2-movie digibook, 4k remaster, with the Slimer statue.
Old tthe old UV site, it would indicate if you had SD or HD for each movie. I can't find that on the new UV site. Sonypictures has it right, but I'm not sure if GB2/HD carried over to UV. I'll keep checking things, but if I can't resolve it, I'll call support.
        Thanks for the reply

On the new uvvu site it depends on the retailer if they show hd or sd. I believe if you got the movie through vudu it won't show if it's hd or sd.

            Re: Ghost Busters Redemption

I redeemed the bundle through sonypictures because Vudu was returning 'invalid code.'

After I redeemed the code, only Ghostbusters showed up in my Vudu account. However, both movies showed up on the UV website, and the other UV services that are linked.

I contacted support and about a day later, Ghostbusters 2 appeared in my library. I don't know if my contacting support led to me getting it added to my library, but it sounds like this code is having some issues for Vudu. An above poster said that only the first movie upgraded to HDX and that Ghostbusters 2 was still in SD.

So, if you are redeeming the bundle, look at for Ghostbusters 2 not being added to your Vudu library, unless the problem was fixed. Even if it doesn't, it should be added if you contact support or wait a day.

If you look at the Godzilla thread you'll see that Sony seems to be having issues with redemptions showing everywhere. They had to readd a couple of the Godzilla and Mothra movies for me before they would show in Vudu.

I had the exact same issues today 24-Sept (said invalid thru vudu, both redeemed in Sonypictures, now only Ghostbusters shows up in Vudu acct).

This happened with my Ghostbuster, as well....and also with my Heaven is for Real.

Has Sony declared war on Vudu for some reason?

So I opened a ticket, and sent a copy of the UV Redemption slip along with it. I got confirmation that there was indeed something wrong with the code, and they forwarded it to the "Promotional Team"...this is the response

                    Hello,
This case has been forwarded to our promo team who will be working to resolve this as promptly as possible.
                    Sorry for the inconvenience.
