Were Iron Man 1 or 2 ever D2D titles?

I'm just curious. Iron Man 1 and 2 were originally Paramount films before the Disney/Marvel merger. Were they ever Ultraviolet or D2D films before they became property of Disney?

I think Iron Man and Captain America were both D2D UV before Disney bought Marvel. I'm not sure about Iron Man 2.

I'm still mad that I didn't check out D2D until after that. Hopefully Vudu and DMA really do join and I can get all of the Marvel movies added to my Vudu library without spending a lot.

Did they get to keep these titles in their UV/VUDU library after the Disney takeover?

I think they have to. If you buy it as UV, I don't think they can take that away after the fact. For example, I own some UV titles that are no longer available for sale at all but they were UV when they were so they are still UV on my account now.

The Captain is right, once you have UV they cannot remove it. Although I have heard that UV movies have been removed from people's libraries. I don't know how anyone would even be able to tell the UV website is not that great and is not very accurate unfortunately. The forum members that obtained them through D2D did say that they were still in their UV libraries.

Yes, the original Marvel Paramount movies pre-Disney were all d2d at the beginning. I was one of the lucky customers at the beginning who opted to take mine in to Walmart (Iron Man 1 & 2, Thor and Captain America) to have them added. Once Disney got involved they removed them from D2D and for a short (a month or two) timeframe were removed from our UV libraries as well (though they were still available to watch on Vudu). Eventually they gave back UV status and show as UV in Vudu only. They don't transfer over to any of the other services from what I can tell. My Captain America, Thor and Iron Man 1 & 2 all have a UV symbol on Vudu.

Since the UVVU re-design I can't see movies that old in my library on that site anymore. I think they were still listed as Paramount on the old website though.

My old roommate's UV account is one of my 5 sub accounts and he said he can see them on Vudu as well.

If you look at date I joined this forum (April 2012) it coincides with the advent of D2D. It's not a coincidence

Yep. It's sad that after 2.5 years people still have trouble finding an employee who knows how to use the program. I think it was even worse back then. I took some movies the first day of the program and had to go to 3 walmarts before I could find an employee who was even willing to try to figure it out.

It is very sad indeed. It was hell back then lol. Remember all the issues they had with printing out the list and if a movie like Captain America was on your list and it was removed from D2D it screwed it all up and you could not have a very long list either because that would screw it up too. Plus the fact that Walmart employees didn't even know what D2D was lol. The first time I did it I drove all they way out to Walmart they looked at me like I was crazy and I made them call Vudu and they walked them through the process. It was brutal but worth it I don't do much D2D anymore and when I do it's at home as long as it works lol.

The one store I could always rely on for D2D (all the employees knew what it was and how to do it) can't do it anymore. They upgraded their computer system about a month ago, and the new system has never been anle to connect without timing out.
