Words that break the d2d search engine

Anyone else notice that the in-home d2d search engine won't let you type in certain words? Right now I can't add the movie "November" to it. You can add the word NO or the word EMBER, but putting the V in between them causes the search engine to fail and you have to refresh the page to get get it to start working again. The weird thing is if you type the word sweet the movie "Sweet November" will pop up. If you then remove the word sweet it goes back to not working I remember there were some other words like this too, but this is the first word that I can't even use a work around to add to the queue. Going to the in-home search engine works fine though.

Might be a browser issue. What browser do you use?

Scratch that. You're talking inside their desktop conversion app, right?

No. The store d2d. I tried Safari yesterday and it would not work either. Once I type the V the search engine shuts itself down and won't look up anything. Even if I delete what I type and try another word. Weird. Maybe I'll have to try on my windows laptop.

The weird thing is if I sign out of Vudu it works. Once I sign in I can't add it.

Interesting. My Safari browser is not showing that issue, and I'm logged into my Vudu account.

This has been happening based on several different words since the beginning of the search for D2D. I'm surprised that it hasn't been fixed but I just do a refresh whenever it happens and try to avoid the word.

Sorry - I misunderstood. Yes, I can see the same problem here on my Windows desktop (IE). Will try Safari again when I get back home.

When it happens to me I just type the word in Notepad or Word and copy and paste and then it works.

Tried that. Won't work for me. Oh well. It was a movie I found at the dollar tree so I'm not too concerned over it.

Try signing out of all VUDU browser windows, close them, open the "clear your cookies" tool in your browser, and clear everything VUDU/vudu (use both, cap & non-cap) out. While at it clear out UVVU cookies as well. Then reopen and sign into VUDU main page, open the "convert D2D" window (I do this in a separate tab), then open the WalMart list if this is required to add the title to the list (if you need to head to Walmart with the title). Carefully begin again....try to remember the key letters/words that cause this issue to occur and do not use them.

This works for me, until the next time it happens, then I have to clear out all of the cookies again. I have taken to remembering the key letters that and combinations that cause this to occur and just work around the issue using another portion of the title to find the available titles.

Often I find that it happens in the midst of adding to the WalMart list and I have to start all over again.....ick. Frustrating, but that is my workaround for the issue.

Using FireFox Browser as well as Google Chrome, all of them do it, I use the same method with Google Chrome as well. Since it is more difficult to clear cookies on Chrome, my choice of poison is FireFox, I keep the "Cookies" tool open at all times to effect the cure while adding titles to my WalMart list or checking to see if a title is available for VUDU2Go.

You may find like I have, that the cookies need to be cleared after opening, adding titles, and closing the WalMart in store conversion list.....because the main VUDU page will not work after this page is opened and the titles are added for WalMart in store conversion. Interesting quirks I must say.

Seems to be account related. I tried it on 2 completely different computers including once I have never used Vudu with and still nothing.

Sorry that did not work for you, I do have to totally sign out when I clear cookies and the cache, before it will work again. I do not think that clearing the cache is the pivotal point, since I do not always do that. For the most part, and currently, clearing the cookies solves the problem for me. Doggone frustrating, if I come up with anything else I will post that workaround too.
