Taken 2 (Unrated) - Support tells me it's not D2D but Vudu website shows otherwise.

Support has told me that Taken 2 (Unrated) is not not D2D but a search on Vudu's website shows otherwise.
    https://www.vudu.com/content/disc_to_digital.html

What gives Vudu? Is support wrong or is the website wrong?

Both versions of Taken 2 are D2D and M2D, but the disc may not work. The UPC works fine though.

When I try to scan my Taken 2 Unrated Blu-ray barcode, it says I already have it. I only have the theatrical version. My support ticket is slightly more complicated than just that, but they told me that the unrated version is not even D2D eligible.

It's actually not eligible, we are in the process of removing this title, sorry for the confusion.

Thank you. That's unfortunate but at least you had the courtesy to tell me in a clear and concise manner. In the support ticket they just keep telling me it's not eligible and then closing the ticket and not really answering my questions at all. If you get a chance can you please look at my other open ticket? Thank you again.

Yup, they were right. I tried the UPC I used a while back to get it and it no longer works either, sorry for the false hope. :\

Would have been nice if they gave it to me since IT WAS ADVERTISED!!! I have screenshots. Ethics dictate they still should. The false advertising in digital movies is out of control. How there hasn't been a huge class action by now is beyond me. Whatever. I report every case of it that I see. Something's bound to happen eventually.

That privilege though... and I highly doubt there will be any class action lawsuit, everyone is a lawyer on the internet.

You can roll your eyes all you want. And privilege has nothing to do with business ethics. False advertising is false advertising. And there's a lot of it. If it were a brick-and-mortar store, Weights and Measures would have already issued fines by now. But on the interwebs it's like the wild west.

Whatever. This is not the hill I'm going to die on by any means. This one movie is not important enough. But it's not just this one movie that is upsetting. It's the big pile all of these little things add up to.

That's how I felt when "Hop" was falsely advertised at $6.99 with a banner. When I reported it, they changed it to $7.99 (most recent example)...wasn't a title I had a strong pull for anyhow so I just said forget it, but I do see a lot of that on the internet. As you said, brick and mortar stores are bound to honor sale prices that are listed even if they are wrong - the internet is a different beast

I agree...in the recent Halloween sales Vudu had Boogeyman 2&3 HDX $6.99 banners above each. Boogeyman 2 is only offered in SD here at Vudu...(false advertisement). Boogeyman 3 price was then changed from $6.99 to $9.99 when I asked about an HDX encode for Boogeyman 2...(bait & switch), and I was down for the purchase of both. They keep driving me to make purchases like these elsewhere with this type of practise. Don't get mad Vudu, just get it together!
