My blu-ray used to give me the SD option. Now that's HDX is available, it says "This disc 'The Karate Kid [Blu-ray] - BLURAY - 1984' is not eligible for Disc to Digital conversion"

There is no Blu-ray option, you have to use a DVD and pay the $5 or $2.50 with discount.

Sorry, yes, that is what I meant. There used to be a Blu-ray option previously but not any more.

                    [SIGH]

                    THis is going well [/sarcasm]

                    My first ticket:

On the page: http://www.vudu.com/disc_to_digital.html the option to select the Blu-Ray of 1984's Karate Kid has disappeared. The DVD is there, and for 5.00 you can select the HD version but the option for the 2.00 Blu-Ray should also be there. It used to be, but now has disappeared.

                    Thanks.
                    The reply from Vudu Support:

Thank you for contacting Vudu Customer Care.

Unfortunately, if the option is not there, it indicates that we no longer have the rights to offer this title for conversion. This is typically dictated by the studio that released this title. I do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. You can always suggest for the title to be re-added on our forum at forums.vudu.com.
If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

                    Sincerely,
                    My reply:

I think you misunderstood. The rights to offer the title did not go away --- they are still there. The option for Blu-Ray vanished, but the option to convert a DVD is still there SO HDX *is indeed* still being offered. This is clearly not a studio edict, but seems to be an error that can easily be fixed.

So, is the Blu-ray option not coming back?

                            +1

I just tried converting my blu-ray again and am still getting the "not eligible" message. I initially brought up this issue in the General Discussion forum two weeks ago, and would love to know if anything is being done / can be done to get this working.

Me too; I held off on converting this title because I refuse to purchase anything in SD until there is a discounted upgrade option, but I've been waiting to convert it since D2D was introduced.
