    Best of luck.

For many reasons I don't see that happening.

Especially Dogma, due to too many reasons to be listed this will never happen.

If it helps I have done a similar project for my movie collection to clear the discs overtaking my living room (and to provide easier access/organization/knowledge of what I own). All the movies I can, I digitize/get on Vudu. The ones that are not available on Vudu I convert myself and store on a local media server and use Plex to manage/stream to my devices.

If it helps, this is my "Set-up":
        • To digitize: I use DVDFab's Software - works really great for me and they have software for SD - HD - UHD conversions.
        • For my media server, I use a QNAP 8-BAY INTEL CORE I7 3.2GHz QC 16GB RAM
        • with WD 10TB RED PRO 3.5" SATA6 INT DRIVE

This system works incredibly well and is very high powered, but also quite an investment - you can technically use just a an old computer as a media server to get started - and PLEX is free (though it is wise to get their lifetime premium plan for a one time fee as it gives you access to hardware acceleration).

Then you can either store your discs you digitize (since you are legally allowed to make a back up copy of your discs), or decide another fate for them.

For me the combination of VUDU and PLEX for my digital collection is great! I have the majority of things on Vudu - and a long wishlist for titles I need to get so I can wait for them to go on sale, and the stuff that is not available on VUDU, or I haven't purchased yet, I have on Plex.

Right now my movie collection (actually it is my family's collection as I gave the Plex accounts and using the UV Share [gotta figure the fate of this] and the Google Play Family Library to give them access to most everything) stands at 2,861 movies not counting TV shows and a few other categories (fitness, family videos, etc.). My master goal is to put all our family videos, pictures, and music on the Media Server so we can have a central depository/archive for our family (for security I am using RAID 6 and eventually will back up to Amazon Glacier).

        I hope this is helpful!

Not entirely correct. If you have to defeat DRM to make a backup, then it is not legal. I don't agree with the DMCA, but this is the current law.
