    D2D & Sharing

I share my movies with my parents and a friend. Sometimes they will D2D some of their titles, which adds it to mine when they are UV. If any of those titles lose their UV status, do they get removed from my account as well, or do they stay? I have been D2D myself for a while, and I have been told by some they will be removed, while others have said they will stay. I've never dealt with it yet, just thought I'd ask.

Captain America was before Disney took over, and I know of people who lost the title in the change over... but I am wondering about movies that lose their UV rights flat out, not due to a studio switch. I know The Crush was UV, then it became unable to buy in SD, now it's back in HDX but without UV rights. Wasn't one we owned, so I can't test with that one.

If you purchased the movie when it had UV status, then it will still have UV status in your vudu library and at myuv.com. If you purchase when it shows no UV status, then you don't get UV status.

What happens if things go the other way? I.e. if you buy a title from Vudu that is not UV, but later becomes UV, will they add it to your UV locker?

For example, movies like Ronin and Only God Forgives:
            http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content/140327/Ronin
            http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...y-God-Forgives

But if I'm sharing my account with family members, and they buy or D2D a UV title, it ports to my account then... if they take UV away... it will remain UV since it was bout when it had UV? Just checking to see if I'm understanding it correctly.

Cool. People started saying they would take it away from your account. I was getting worried, hope it's not true. Time will tell.

                      Re: D2D & Sharing

The answer to this is kind of yes and no I think. I redeemed the UV code for the movie Horns in Flixster. It used to import into Vudu until Vudu lost or revoked the UV rights. So it seems reasonable to conclude... If you D2D a title in one Vudu account and it's syncs through into another Vudu account via myuv but then it loses its UV rights at Vudu, it will stop syncing across Vudu accounts. It will remain at myuv.com and in the original Vudu account it was purchases in, but will not sync to other myuv.com connected Vudu accounts for other users. Does that make sense?

It does. I just wish I knew that before my family started purchasing movies I also wanted. Now if one of the movies they bought or D2D loses UV rights, I will have to re-buy it.
