Updated Android App squishes Camera and won't scan any disc

Latest Android version updated August 7, version 7.3.r010.159621392 changed the Disc to Digital Camera which only shows a squished image and no longer will recognize a single UPC. And this is to say it won't scan anything as the image is distorted.

I thought this was their new way of doing stuff, guess not! It's horrible! It's a tiny square now instead of the full camera shot. It took me forever to scan and I had to turn the phone sideways!

Turning the phone 90 degrees sideways (landscape) worked after much moving around. Turning the disc sideways did not. Still a very odd update and will discourage people.

Thanks for the feedback. I have let the Android devs know about this issue. Hopefully there's something we can do to make this a better experience for you all.

UPDATE: Please let us know what specific devices you are using that's having this issue, thanks.

Just tried it with an LG V30 and One plus six, and both of them couldn't read the barcodes. The camera looked squished and looked very odd indeed.

I took a screenshot and attempted to upload it here yet despite the size being less than Max requirement it would not upload. I then put the image on an image hosting site hoping to add a link and that didn't work as links are not allowed on the forum w/o admin approval.

So I found a way and it is in next post.

Camera is broke on my Motorola Moto G Power and I pulled out my Moto E and doesn't work on that either. Both cameras show a squeezed image.

Received an update to the app today. I've tested it and the camera is back to normal.

                      Thank you.

All I am getting now is a camera screen. No scanner at all.
