    Policy on D2D borrowed DVDs?

So typically used or old DVDs people give away, use as coasters for coffee mugs or you can buy at garage sales for .25 cents or a 1.00 etc

I have hundreds of Vudu movies that I've either bought from VUDU or own the media and did D2D.

Sometimes a family member or friend may let me borrow a movie that I don't have. Can we D2D a borrowed movie legally or is this considered piracy? I mean a D2D DVD purchase in HDX nets VUDU $2.50 which, in many cases, is more than what a copy of the DVD can be had in the marketplace.

Would appreciate a customer service response as I couldn't find anything via Google or search...thanks in advance!

That's the thing, VUDU wants to say its 1x per disc, but they cannot enforce it. Since they don't enforce it, then they should stop enforcing it in stores.

In-Store (2013): 1x only (even though no walmart has the stamp anymore)
    At-Home (2014): Unlimited

But VUDU, to not get into legal problems with studios, will say that it's 1x only. But they have no idea if the same disc is used more than once. If you go to walmart though and use the same disc twice, they will give you one heck of a time and call the manager on you like you are an escaped convict who just got out of prison.

      VUDU terms of service state:
"You may have the opportunity to convert your physical Blu-rayTM and DVD discs into electronic copies that may be stored and viewed through the VUDU Service via the Disc to Digital program. The Disc to Digital program is only available for physical Blu-rayTM and DVD titles that have been legitimately purchased and are presently owned by you. VUDU reserves the right to refuse conversion of a title, or to limit or cancel your access to a previously converted title, if VUDU reasonably believes the title does not meet, or no longer meets, the purchase and ownership criteria set forth in this paragraph."

I believe that if your family members are part of your five shared accounts, they can d2d the discs themselves and they will go into the shared UV account. Also, I don't think it would be wrong to do it for them (e.g., go to your dad's house and help him scan his dvd's in).
