Dear Vudu - Why don't you ever reward your valued customers??

My friends who never spend a dime on your site are always getting emails with credits in them and now a code for a free movie. Why is it that I have spent thousands of dollars on your site and have never received one of these emails?

Yep....I have wondered about that as well. I haven't spent thousands but I do buy video's almost every month....

Ditto.....it has been a long time since I have received any rewards and I am part of the "thousands-of-dollars-spent club."

But, that being said, I do appreciate the many "deals" that are provided weekly and monthly.

        Agreed.

Some users are receiving free movie redemptions who haven't visited in awhile.

Same here.... I spend money every month yet no freebie credit email sent my way.... Do appreciate the 99 cent rental but I'm a movie buyer 99 times out of a hundred.

It's corporate logic, they know the got your support/money so they spend time and money on those who don't support to show investors they're 'growing with customers".

This right here. Why would they offer us a free movie of $3 or $5 credit when we are already giving it to me? They more non supporting customers they can get lured back with a $3 credit toward buying a movie or season, shows they got one more customer to add to their long list of people who back Vudu.

Agreed. Seems like rewards programs of some sort are the norm just about everywhere these days. Why not at least doing something like $10 in credit for every $100 spent? That would mean a lot to Vudu's high-spending customers.

Here is why they should. When I get a small credit like $3-$5 then I instantly spend it to buy the digital version of a movie or tv show I want. If I don't have a credit then I just go to Best Buy and get the blu-ray and use the digital code or else see if I can get a code from somebody who doesn't use theirs. Actually having the credit on my account steers me in the direction of Vudu when buying. Not having the credit steers me towards the cheaper alternative.

I suppose them not giving me incentives actually leads to me spending less money to get the same content so I should thank them.

This is exactly what I do. I usually don't spend anything at Vudu unless I have a credit (or in the past on D2D). If I don't, I buy the disc and it comes with a digital code and then I might or might not redeem at Vudu.
