    my newly update vudu app in windows wont do disc conversions any longer

    I have a library of over 800 films I wanted to put on Vudu. Most of the films are available within Vudu for sale. I was able to put quite a few in my library through disc conversion but lately I noticed Vudu is stating they cannot find the films and will need to get back to me but in the interim I can go to the store if I want. What is up with that?!! I have the discs and was able to upload for weeks previously...now not at all.

    Examples? It mainly only works with older titles. Anything from the past 2 years or so is unlikely to work without taking it to a store. For it to work is more technical that simply be available for purchase. Specific discs need to be processed into their database, or else they will not be recognized. Thus, you run into problems where one version will work, but not another -- original release vs remastered version, for example. Also if you run any sort of disc decrypter, you need to disable it, as that will interfere with the program.

      Being "for sale" on Vudu isn't relevant for disc-to-digital, they have to have been made eligible by the studio (forget about any Disney-owned studio). Search for eligibility prior to using the vudutogo app at http://www.vudu.com/in_home_disc_to_digital.html.

      Many, even though eligible, may not be recognized (especially dual sided DVD's) and will need to be taken into the store. As Lostinva mentions, nothing recent will likely work in the app and would need to be taken into the store (and they likely came with UV or DMA code anyway). *

      Also, ensure you do not have AnyDVD (or similar) running or the app will not recognize the disc.

        I've been using it forever and in the last month or so, no DVD's work on any computer I use. Blu Rays still work.

        CinemaNow still works, but it's options are limited and there's no discount. Any movie from a "less commercial" company like Anchor Bay, Image Entertainment, Kino and the like (titles that have worked on VUDU for me) shows up as a "burned disc" and says it's not eligible. I am also very reluctant to upgrade any DVD for a whole $5.

        So until I acquire enough Blu Rays to take advantage of VUDU's discount, why isn't it working with DVD's anymore? Is it Windows 10? Maybe I'll dig out an old laptop and see if that works.

          I'm having the exact same problem. I'm running Windows 10, updated the VUDU TO GO app, and suddenly no DVD or Blu Ray will be recognized. I currently have 28 titles in the queue to be converted which were added prior to the app update. Since the update, I cannot get any disc to be recognized.
          Title examples are:
          Jack Reacher (2012-Blu-Ray)
          The Heat (2013 DVD)
          The Bellboy (1960 DVD)
          The grass is greener (1961 DVD)
          Any help would be greatly appreciated.
