Has the discount when converting 10+ movies ended?

I was scanning movies last night, got about 1/4 through my collection, and decided I'd finish today.

I was looking to do about 150 more movies. Instead of $150, that'd be $300, and not something I'll be doing.

Apparently, yes. Depressing, but I guess we all knew it was inevitable. It most certainly means that I will be using D2D A LOT less.

I'll use CinemaNow for all my DVDs now unless they aren't applicable. No point in using VUDU anymore unless it's a Blu-ray. It was really crappy to just end this all of a sudden, though I suppose the flip side is that it's pretty amazing that they carried it as long as they did. But they've more or less lost a customer through me since that was a big selling point.

CinemaNow have discontinued their CN desktop app, and consequently their D2D program, last month. However, those that still have the program already downloaded have said that they can still D2D in the app. Supposedly, CN is planning to release a newer program 'soon', but no word if D2D will be part of it.

Yeah, I am in the same boat. I had 20 movies sitting in my cart that had the discount, and when I went to add another today I about fell over at the price. I see it ended with the mobile D2D that they just introduced, and while that is helpful (especially since I was finally able to convert 3 titles that I had been wanting to do from the very beginning,) I won't be converting many at a time because it's too pricey. And without the discount, there is no incentive to getting more at one time.

One other thing I noticed from the ToS, the mobile says only up to 100 titles a year, and the site mentioned 1000 I think. So it's only going to allow you to convert so many in a certain period of time.

oh well, it was great while it lasted.

This. Thankfully I've already converted several hundred...it was getting to the point I was having a hard time finding movies to convert.

If VUDU can set up everything to recognize all the BR, then a $2.00 HDX ain't a bad price for a new or classic movie.

Depending on the size of your collection now, it's still a reasonably cheap way to add favorite movies.

Same. That was my only big incentive, so now I don't think I'll be using it much.

Hmm, that stinks. I have a few in my cart too. I won't be doing 10+ anymore...and probably be a lot more selective.

Why are so many people upset about a promotion that was suppose to end December 2014. Thank you VUDU for allowing it to run to March 2017!

I agree but when I mentioned about it lasting a lot longer than it was supposed to I received a negative reaction. I really don't care anymore because I finished all the available conversions a long time ago and most newer disks come with a UV code anyway. The ones I couldn't convert are still not available to this day.

Ouch, though even at $2, BR isn't too bad, it's the $5 a pop for DVDs that's going to burn folks.
