Locking down the mobile Disc-to-Digital to only one address is flawed.

I'm a college student with my debit/credit card set to my permanent home address. I go to school hours away and have been away for home for a couple of years and rarely go back. I've been a huge fan and user of Vudu for the last several years, yet now I cannot put my movies on vudu without a huge inconvenience. Most laptops do not come with disc-drives or blu ray drives and walmart will stop doing it in store soon(not that they ever knew what Vudu was).

I was very excited to hear about the barcode scanning feature and the AppleTV app, but after reading more about it I was let down. I understand the security and fraud aspect of just going to a store and scanning barcodes, but you should be able to set a "shipping" address as well as your billing address. You can not simply change your billing address as when you check out, it will decline because the address doesn't match the card. There has to be another way to verify location.

If you have been away from that address for so long, maybe the best thing would be to change the address associated with that credit card? You can sign in online and do it in about 30 seconds, which would allow you to use Vudu as you would like as well...

Re: Locking down the mobile Disc-to-Digital to only one address is flawed.

The issue I'm running into is that I live in a rural area where the post office does not deliver. So my billing address is my PO Box, effectively making Mobile D2D useless to me.

I tried entering my street address just to see what happened and Vudu doesn't recognize it as valid "shrug"

I'd rather not get my card billing statements to my college address.. especially when my semester ends soon and my address probably will too. Not to mention your card billing address should match your Driver's License. I'm just one small example, plus the PO Box issue mentioned here as well which probably affects quite a few

Same problem here... I can not get vudu to recognize my street address as valid - I am guessing this is because it is not a postal address....

Re: Locking down the mobile Disc-to-Digital to only one address is flawed.

I have 3 different addresses - Physical (where I live), Postal (where the post office delivers junk mail), Mailing (where all my important mail goes, a rented UPS Store box).

I have to set the address to my physical address but that doesn't match my billing (VISA) address and I'm not sure if that is what is causing the following issue or not.

The transaction could not be completed. Please try again later.
Over and over and over...payment will NOT process.

It worked at my work which is 3 miles away from my home / billing address.

HOWEVER, my work is listed with my credit card as an approved shipping address so no card present orders dont fail when shipping address is different then billing.

Don't know if that is why it's working, but it is.

I am currently sitting in my house and cannot use the disc to digital on the app because my billing address does not match my location. I am in my house!

Call your bank and ask them to add your current address as a secondary address that's valid

Under Settings>General>Privacy>Location Services, only Apple TV apps are listed - Siri and Dictation, Time Zone, and for Homekit-enabled devices. There are no options for enabling or disabling location data for third party applications when Location Services is on, only this text...

I don't have the issue, but thank you for this information as I didn't know you can do that.
