The Vudu Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Vudu experience. Here, Vudu customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Vudu and Vudu -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Vudu customers with questions and/or problems with their Vudu service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Vudu Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Please post all comments in English. When posting a comment in the Vudu Forums, please conduct yourself in a respectful and civil manner. While we respect that you may feel strongly about an issue, please leave room for discussion.

Vudu reserves the right to refrain from posting and/or to remove user comments, including comments that contain any of the following:

1. Obscenities, defamatory language, discriminatory language, or other language not suitable for a public forum
2. Email addresses, phone numbers, links to websites, physical addresses or other forms of contact information

    Keep getting errors with Android app

    I've tried about a dozen titles and I get two different error messages. The first is "Sorry, your barcode was not recognized. Be sure to steady your phone and capture the entire barcode." The other message is "Sorry, Disc to Digital experienced a technical issue. Please try again later." For each title I've scanned, I only get one of these messages (never both on the same title). I'm guessing the first is coming up on ones that aren't in the database. The second one is the one I'm more concerned with. I've been trying this throughout the day today and haven't gotten any titles to work. Just trying to figure out if the problem is on my end or yours. I've given the app the permissions it needs (location and camera), and I've restarted my phone several times, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

    Try updating your payment info. I had an expired credit card that was causing that same error.

      I keep getting the "Sorry, Disc to Digital experienced a technical issue. Please try again later." message as well. My payment info is fine since I only have one payment option set for VUDU. I put in a support ticket on the 25th and haven't heard anything back yet.

          I got an email back finally today telling me to do things I've already tried.

          If you are on an Android device, please try the following steps:

          1. Force close the app using the built in Android application manager. This is normally found under to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications on most Android versions.

          2. Clear the cache and data of the VUDU application. This is normally done under Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications.

          3. Uninstall the application. (Please note, any downloads that you have will be removed and you will have to redownload the titles)

          4. Power cycle the Android device. (Turn it off completely then back on)

          5. Reinstall the application

          Also, please verify that the Android device is up to date with its software.
