Re: "Error Creating Cart" & "Error Can't Add To Cart" Messages with in home windows D

I had a ticket opened two months ago and after saying the issue had been escalated VUDU closed it with no explanation. Since I have 39 Blu-rays affected I contacted VUDU and said I felt like the customer support associate just blew me off, hoping I would just accept that their mobile app has this flaw.

The new associate I talked to said yes, my ticket had been mistakenly closed and they were escalating it.

Except this time they actually seem to have escalated it and the ticket is now listed as "In Progress". On Friday I was talking with a customer support associate about an unrelated matter and I happened to mention this issue in passing to which the associate said, "Yes, I have heard about that, I know they are looking into it"

I'd encourage everyone to put in tickets for this so VUDU recognizes it as a problem that impacts a large section of their customers.

My ticket is also "In Progress. I had this issue immediately when starting to use the in home PC app. It seems related to only titles I previously scanned with the Mobile App but didn't purchase (whether I changed my mind or after I hit the Mobile limit).

While this ticket was started via phone on May 27, I just Monday 6/5 received a reply. When I called on 6/2 I was told it was with Engineering. The email I received today says to first uninstall and reinstall the software and also to send a bunch of info on my PC and software etc. And it stated they needed that in order to send it to engineering..

I had the problem with the movie "Red Tails". I ended up just doing mobile disc to digital. I'll know now not to scan the bar code before trying the disc first. Hope this doesn't continue to be a problem.
First they refreshed my cart, that didnt work, next was this..

        Hello,

I apologize for the inconvenience. This issue is typically caused by Adobe Flash Player being outdated. Please take the following steps to resolve the issue:
        Go to http://adobe.com/go/settmgr_storage_en
In the Website Storage Setting Panel click the "Delete all sites"
In the Protected Content Playback Settings panel click the "Reset License Files"
Uninstall the current version of Adobe Flash Player from your computer
        Reboot your computer
        Install Adobe Air - http://get.adobe.com/air
        Re-install Adobe Flash Player - http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
Reboot the PC after these installs and try to stream the video again
If you continue to have issues, please don?t hesitate to contact us again.

Still had errors then got this msg back

Thank you for contacting Vudu customer care.

We do apologize for the difficulties you have been having with the Disc to Digital software. We can try one more thing here.
Now that you have installed the latest version on Adobe Flash player. Please now uninstall the Vudu to Go application and reinstall it. This now will hopefully allow the software to work as it should.

Thank you for contacting Vudu customer care. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

        Best Regards,

Re: "Error Creating Cart" & "Error Can't Add To Cart" Messages with in home windows D

For me, it is not a Software or Hardware issue from what I can see. The unfortunate thing, for me, is this is totally related to any D2D eligible title I previously scanned with Mobile D2D. Any title I have not scanned with Mobile D2D, that is D2D eligible will work. My ticket gets an update about once a week. I reply. Wait another week. Still no resolution.

Re: "Error Creating Cart" & "Error Can't Add To Cart" Messages with in home windows D

I wish I knew how to explain this to the support staff as they keep trying to address my software or hardware.

Home D2D works for any eligible disc only if I had not previously scanned it in Mobile D2D. I can't seem to communicate that message.

I sure hope somehow someday someone can fix this issue. I have been trying to get help since May 27 and it is now June 15.

I agree. This is so frustrating.
I just updated my ticket saying that VUDU should advance 50 mobile scans to those of us affected. Since this issue was not made clear to us when we started using the mobile app, I think VUDU could make a one time exception to resolve this issue.
Doubt I'll get a response but at least I am providing a temporary solution

I have a huge stack of blu's here i want to convert. VUDU is just losing out. I don't want to use mobile disc to digital because i don't want to exceed the transfer limit.

Re: "Error Creating Cart" & "Error Can't Add To Cart" Messages with in home windows D

Now I've received an email (not from support) telling me I left movies in my cart. That I scanned them in Mobile and didn't check out. and to not worry as they've "rescued" my cart. It prompts me to click a link to get to the mobile app.

Well no different. I can't scan and add any titles in Mobile as I hit the limit. I can't use In Home on any title that I previously scanned with Mobile. No fix.

I turned in my original support request May 24. I am losing hope this will ever be fixed.

I have received the same message. I think that's just a standard message that is sent out to anyone that has used the Mobile app previously.

I think the one thing that everyone can agree on is that this is an error caused by the mobile app. I have had a support ticket out on this issue since May 13

I'm having the same problem. Vudu, please fix this issue. You're missing out on major money!!

Best option would be to make mobile D2D unlimited, thus fixing the at-home D2D issue... I would easily dump another couple hundred dollars into the mobile D2D anyway.

I have two support tickets open on this. I've actually never received a response to any support ticket I've ever opened at VUDU. I'm not sure they really have any staff on the other end of their email support system.

I've tried deleting and reinstalling both disc to digital apps and it still doesn't work. I've noticed the problem only exists for titles I once scanned in my phone app, but didn't want to count towards my 100 title limit and then deleted out of that cart and tried to scan using the at home disc to digital app.

This happened to me with Prometheus. Mobile wanted to charge me $5 to upgrade (I own the Four-Disc Collector's Edition), so I wanted to use the disc-read method, which properly recognizes it as BluRay. Vudu either needs to resolve this disc-reading bug, or correct the barcode error that reads as DVD.
