    Purchase Episode vs. Season Pass

If this is a duplicate, I apologize, I was unable to find a current post relating to this topic.

My understanding was that if you purchased an episode of a series, then later purchased the Season Pass the cost of the episode would be deducted from the Season Pass cost. It became relevant with Scorpion when the Season Pass was unavailable, but the next episode was. I purchased the episode and went on with my day.

Out of curiosity, I decided to test it with The Blacklist, Season 2. I purchased Episode 2, both before and after the purchase the Pass remained $39.99. So the $2.99 price of the HDX episode was not deducted from the overall cost. This would lead me to believe that the $2.99 for the 2nd episode of Scorpion is also not being deducted from the Season Pass price of $24.99.

Did something change that I missed?

From the FAQ, not all shows/seasons are eligible. This is probably the issue.
    http://watch.vudu.com/tv/faq/

    What is Season Pass?

For select TV shows, you can purchase the currently airing season before the season is completed and get a discount off the total price of all the episodes.

When you purchase a season with Season Pass prices, new episodes will automatically be added to your VUDU library?typically the day after they air on network TV. Season Passes are great ways to avoid the hassle of purchasing each episode individually and also ensure you never miss one.

    What is Season Complete?

For select TV shows, if you have previously purchased an episode on VUDU, you can purchase the remaining episodes in that TV season together in one purchase and receive a discount off the price.

The discount is based on your past purchases of episodes in that TV season and you can choose to complete the season in the same or upgraded format (SD/HD/HDX).

    What is Season Upgrade?

For select TV shows, if you have purchased a season in SD on VUDU, you can upgrade it to HD or HDX and only pay the difference in price.

How is my Season Complete or Season Upgrade discount calculated?

Your discount is based on the price paid for the episode(s) or season on VUDU. If you acquired the episodes or season using a redemption code, promotion code or credit, those TV episodes or credits will not count toward the discount for that TV season.

Are all TV shows eligible for Season Complete or Season Upgrade?

Unfortunately, not all TV show seasons are eligible?but we're working on it.

How do I know if I have a Season Complete or Season Upgrade offer?

If eligible, instead of an ?Own? button, you will see the option to "Complete Season" or "Upgrade Season". On the purchase grid, you will also see the reduced price in yellow above the original, crossed-out price.

Re: Purchase Episode vs. Season Pass

Does anyone remember which titles were eligible for completion of the season? I've had bad luck lately with recent shows such as Once Upon a Time and Family Guy. Has anyone had any luck with the latest season of American Horror Story episodes contributing to the overall season pass cost? Any help would be appreciated.
