Can someone with the correct equipment confirm the average rental and purchase price of UHD movies?

Roku 4 just out. Media folk got an early one. I don't think many people have it in their homes yet. Maybe though.

Re: Vudu UHD 4K is here!

I can see the 12 titles here:
              http://www.watchvudu.com/uhd/

'San Andreas,' 'Man of Steel,' 'Edge of Tomorrow,' 'The Lego Movie,' 'Magic Mike XXL,' 'Jupiter Ascending,' 'Sherlock Holmes,' 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,' 'The Great Gatsby,' 'Into the Storm,' 'Focus,' and 'Run All Night.'

None of them show as UHD or 4K for me. The earlier comment about requiring a 4K device to even see the titles seems to be correct. I sure hope this changes.

I don't see any mention of Download for these movies. Will there be an upgrade for folks that own the HDX copy? Since it's announced, can we get some details?

It is cool they are pointing to the Forums to get the latest on device support. We could use some fresh faces.

The supported VIZIO Reference Series HDTVs are a bit rich for my blood. I see there are only two models. The 65" is $6,000, and the 120" at $130,000.

HDR and Atmos seem the most appealing features to me. I've wanted better sound on my Vudu movies for years!

I hope they have a D2D from blu-ray to UHD. Wouldn't that be great? Maybe not, then I'd want to do them all all over again.

                  690 HDX
                  2 HD

I want Digital to Digital. There's no way I'm rebuying a film I already own on HDX for $30. I'd be willing to pay an upgrade price though

Ouch. But I suppose it could have been worse. Hopefully that purchase price will lower a bit to $25 or so in the next year.

There has been no recent word from the Ultraviolet consortium regarding the UHD extension to UV, so until that happens no chance of D2d for 4k. But I also agree with the other post- UV needs to work with the studios to come to some form of agreement for digital UV upgrading for titles you already have in your collection SD>HD>UHD.

I hope they make it happen as I don't see most people paying fully price for a UHD film if they already have in HD(X).
