I just redeemed American Reunion at http://www.universaldigitalcopy.com/AmericanReunion and choose Vudu and iTunes and it turned out to be HD not HDX on Vudu and SD on iTunes. I bought it at Best Buy on Blu-ray.

That's odd. I redeemed my copy through the same way and it came out HDX. I chose to redeem through Universal and Amazon (It also let me redeem through Itunes, even though I didn't pick that option I just tried the code after and it worked). When it showed up on Vudu it was HDX.

Already reported that "Drive" (Sony) is HDX but I prefer all my UVVU.com links to go to Vudu. I am trying to decide if I want to redeem the UV code at Sony or take the Drive disc to Walmart for a $2 D2D conversion?

Did you also redeem as Vudu? Or did you redeem through Universal? I double checked and mine definitely came out HDX when I chose Universal instead of Vudu.

This lack of consistency is maddening. Its like they think people don't give a crap about what resolution they get. Time to see if we can get some mods to chime in.

I went to the Universal website and choose Vudu instead of link to My Universal account.

The definition will depend on who you redeem the code through. If you receive a ?PD? or ?SD? copy of a movie from another service or from the studio website, you'll get the SD version with VUDU as well. Whatever is assigned at the time of redemption is what you'll get with VUDU.

We're working to provide HD copies for all digital copies redeemed through VUDU, but this is still a work in progress. If you feel you should have gotten a HD copy on VUDU and didn't, please submit a support ticket or give us a call at (888)554-VUDU. In some cases we may have to do a little research, but should be able to get you an answer

Re: Current UV Copies what format SD or HD

Are the HD copies going to be retroactive, or will it just be new redemptions after it starts? Either way would be great, but I would really love to be able to upgrade from SD to HD, and I would even pay a few extra bucks to do so.

The Vudu code is on a sticker on the outside shrinkwrap plastic. It is redeemed at www.vudu.com/digitalcopy
