    Vudu on Boxee

I downloaded the Vudu app on Boxee for my PC. everything looks and sounds great but I was wondering why on 1/3 of my movies show up in the "My Movies" tab and only four of my TV Shows show up. Is it a licensing issue or something?

    Kikar,

I apologize; there are licensing agreements in place that prevent some of the titles you own from being available on BOXEE. Disney titles will not be accessible.

Gosh, this is just wonderful........kinda puts the kibosh on being able to view films "anytime, anywhere" doesn't it? So some movies that you "own" cannot be viewed on a PC....Great...

Unfortunately the Disney license does not transfer to BOXEE. This may not be the case forever, but it is right now. I think while this may be a slight drawback, it's nice to be able to access your A LOT of your VUDU library through a Mac or PC.

Thanks for the response, Dan...It's just disappointing, the restrictions the studios put on content....

              Aaronwt,

This is the case for all boxee versions. Also something to keep in mind. Boxee only offers SD.

Woa... I thought I read on the Boxee Box site that VUDU would be partnering with VUDU to provide HD content along wit Dolby 5.1.
                Did I read this wrong?

Supposedly the Boxee Box is supposed to have HDX and HD with bitstreamed DD+ according to the press release. Is this not true?

My apologies, the SD restriction is only for the PC/Mac versions. HDX and HD are available on the Boxee box.

Any update on getting the rights to Disney films on the Boxee Box?

Also any sort of update for the Boxee Box app to view the movies I own alphabetically? It's annoying to only be able to view them in the order I purchased them.

Can the license information be put o the title listing?

For example which platforms are Disney movies available on?
