Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

I think it is technical bugs. The movies are UV because the movies I bought are all UV on Vudu so I dont think the studios are going to say okay Vudu you can have these UV titles and CN you have these it would not make any sense. As far as the HD/SD it would make no sense that only SD are UV and HD are not. I have been doing all kinds of things to get my movies over but they just need to work out the bugs. I remember all the craziness earlier this year Vudu, Flixster Hell, and disc to digital madness lol so it is understandable. I am sure by next week when people get back from holiday vacation this problem will be addressed. Someone is going to come back into the office with a nice suprise on Monday lol I think all of us have put in tickets not to mention all the others that are not part of the forum.

Not saying thats what it is... I hope it is just a technical glich... but it IS possible that they do not currently have the authorization to distribut HD UV copies for those films

Has anyone had any luck getting thier UV library loaded into a PS3 or iPhone? I have been able to get my UV library loaded into the website but it is hit or miss and now the only thing that loads into the library on the CN website are the UV movies missing the UV labels.

Except one of my missing movies is sd only. The symbol disappears from some other sd only movies when you add them to your cart. The best thing to do right now is check your cart for the uv symbol before you submit. Everything that had the symbol in the cart had gone to uvvu for me. The ones where the symbols dissapear in the cart are the missing ones. If I were to guess its a glitch with their cart system.

You can check this by looking at Date Night. Add SD or HD to your cart and no Symbol. Now add Uncle Buck and there is a symbol on HD or SD.

It loaded once on my PS3 and then crashed the console so it had to restart. On my Iphone it loads some of my CN purchases that didn't transfer to UV and 1 that did (Alien vs Predator) and one of my UV movies that had nothing to do with CN. My computer is similar, but without the one extra UV movie.

I have had zero luck with my PS3 and iPhone. Hopefully they will fix it soon. The iPhone app actually looks pretty cool. It would be a lot cooler if I could watch my movies on it though.

It could be a licensing issue. I submitted a ticket because a movie from Flixster didn't transfer to my movies, and they responded that they are having a licensing issue and they are working on it. Maybe CN is having the same problem. Will wait and see I think they will get it fixed this week.

What movie was it? According to something one of the Vudu Engineers said a while back I think the issue is VUDU not being able to read the "rights token" correctly but that IS something they should be able to fix... they've done it in the past...

I purchased two UV HD movies from Cinemanow that were on sale:

                              Alien vs. Predator
                              Red Planet

They both appeared on Vudu after several hours. They are in the UV locker too.

But they do not appear in the CN interface on my ipad app or on the LG TV app. Weird. Seems like there are many bugs yet to be worked out.

I'm staying away from CinemaNow because it's affiliated with Best Buy and I can't stand BB. Every time I go to the store (just yesterday in fact), I'm disappointed because they will advertise sales and then the item is "Out of Stock" or the sale is over but they didn't replaced the sales tag. I try to stay away from places like this.
