Look at my post above, that should explain what you need to do.

Still no success. When my UV Member tries to link to my UV Locker he gets this error message:

"LASP binding denied. Insufficient user permission."

          Kev,

You can only link newly created UV accounts. I don't believe UV allows you to link to existing accounts together currently.

Newly created UV accounts? I don't understand? How can any of my 5 Members create a Member UV account in my UV Master account?

I thought the UV Master account owner creates his 5 Member accounts and provides the username and password to his 5 members and this Members link to those Member accounts thru their Vudu account under "Ultraviolet Info"?

At the bottom of the "Ultraviolet Info" page is says:

            "Already have an UltraViolet™ account?"

Re: Movies not showing up for my UV Member?

We are having so much trouble with this I have the Vudu account login info for 2 of my Members. Since linking to one of my "old" UV Member accounts does not work I created a New UV account for 1 of my Members under his Vudu account and got:

"Your UltraViolet? account has been created and linked to your VUDU account.

NOTE: Please check your email to activate your UltraViolet? account within 3 days.

              OK
              "

              then

"Congratulations! You have earned a free movie."

So if my Members create new UV "Master" accounts how will my Members link to my UV account?

I was under the impression that my Members did not need their own UV "Master" accounts. So If I had 5 children as members they need an email, a Vudu account and a their own UV account? WHY? All these accounts really make no since to me and how creating a new UV account gets my movies in their Vudu accounts is not evident.

If my Member activates this new "Master" UV account that seems to defeat the purpose of having 5 Members. Plus I though that Master UV accounts can not link?

You should be the master account holder, and create the accounts by clicking "add member". You then have the ability to set the rights each child member has in your group.

You can check what rights each user has by clicking on their name in your group. It's Full, Standard or Basic.

1 VUDU account can be attached to 1 UV account. 6 Members can be in your UV group including you. This technically means, you can have 6 VUDU accounts linked to one group(assuming each member attached has a VUDU account linked to their UV account).

My apologies if i'm misunderstanding, hopefully i answered your question.

Re: Movies not showing up for my UV Member?

But it is not working! Myself and my Members have been trying these procedures for months since the beginning of the D2D program and my Members can never see my movies. You said the accounts have to be "new" but that would be impossible because those new accounts created by my UV Members from their Vudu accounts are Master accounts and can never by linked to my Master Account.

I still can not link any of my UV Member's Vudu accounts to my Master UV account. They created Vudu accounts and I get this error when linking their Vudu to my UV Member accounts for 2 members:

"LASP binding denied. Insufficient user permission."

This is the most confusing crap I have ever seen and I think something changed with the Ultraviolet program that no longer allows 6 Vudu accounts linked to 1 UV account.

Just like this option changed on the original program:

                    a. You can sync up to 2 VUDU accounts to an UltraViolet account.

I did that. I created 5 UV Member accounts under my UV Master account back in April/May 2012 when D2D started. However, my UV Member's Vudu accounts are not linking to my UV Master account.

WTF! "don't expect for the movies to be synched and moved over. "

I got this email reply from Vudu customer service today regarding Mr. Jones Vudu account not syncing to my UV Master account:

                        "Hello Kevin,

Thank you for contacting VUDU Customer Care. We can only have our customer base link one VUDU account to an UltraViolet account, and one UltraViolet account to a VUDU account. You can create carljones@?????.com as a member of your account, but don't expect for the movies to be synched and moved over.

This is why I haven't added anyone to my UV account. It's not clear how it would work, or how it is supposed to work. You'd think they would make it easier, because if I added some close friends or family members, they might be interested in starting their own UV accounts and buying their own digital copies. But it should come as no surprise that UV is their own worst enemy: http://techcrunch.com/2012/01/17/an-...orribly-right/

Re: Movies not showing up for my UV Member?

I empathise with you on this. All of this is clear as mud. I'm not sure, but it sounds like you may be trying to link all of the Vudu accounts directly to the Master UV account. My apologies if I am reading that wrong.

I can tell you that I have sharing working, with one "master" UV user and 5 "children". The "master" user must log in to UV and create each "child". Email confirmations ensue. Then, each UV user should create and link to independent Vudu accounts.

                            So...

Master UV (Adam) ------------------> Vudu Account No. 1 (Adam's Vudu)
                            |
                            |
Child UV 1 (Barbara) ---------------> Vudu Account No. 2 (Barbara's Vudu)
                            |
                            |
Child UV 2 (Cliff) -------------------> Vudu Account No. 3 (Cliff's Vudu)

I can confirm, this works. I created a master UV account and linked it to my existing Vudu account. Then, I went into my master UV account and added "children" users. Then, I created independent Vudu accounts for each "child", linking each new Vudu account to the associated "child".

I have added movies through D2D (and codes) through the Vudu accounts of the master, and 2 children. All movies are shared between the "master" and "children" users, regardless of who added them.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

nyunole, I am glad it works for someone but I have done the exact same thing and none of my Child accounts are pending. How long ago did you link all your accounts and why would Vudu support say?:

"but don't expect for the movies to be synched and moved over."

At first I thought my Child accounts guys were not doing something correct when linking their Vudu account to my UV Child accounts but I have 2 of my Child accounts Vudu login passwords and I get the same error for both.
