Won't work. Vudu to Go doesn't read newer discs.

I had to try it and it failed...so, off to Wally World to get 4 3D movies added. Now, if Vudu would allow conversion on the other 70+ 3D movies I have...more money for them...less for me...

Which 4 3d movies are you converting? I could only find 47 ronin and Hobbit desolation of smaug on D2D in 3d.

Also World War Z (Unrated) and Wrath of the Titans (3D). If you type just 3D in the search bar for the Wal-Mart D2D list builder, they show up. That's how I found them...thanks to the suggestion from another poster who's name I can't find now...

edit...but looking at it, I'm not really sure the World War Z is 3D there...just doing a regular search on the site brings it up as just the unrated, which is also fine with me so I can have the unrated version also...

edit redux...and looking thru the list of 3D movies, World War Z doesn't show up at all so I'm going to say it isn't available as 3D, so I'll be getting 3 3D movies and 1 unrated edition movie.

Wrath of the Titans 3D will just get you the HDX version. When I pick that one on the in store list it says I own it already. I only own the HDX version. Looks like Vudu does not offer the 3D version.

You are correct. It showed that I didn't own it so I added it...but I do own it...just in SD. Stupid inserts from long ago only giving SD. I will go ahead and get it in HDx now. So, only 2 3D movies getting added as of now.

Re: Disc to Digital Title List

I just noticed that the Catherine Deneuve movie Manon 70 shows to be D2D-eligible, but does not appear as an available movie to view on the VUDU site. This means you can buy a conversion but cannot view it? Or perhaps this is just an anomaly - VUDU has just temporarily lost rights to the movie but will likely see it later? Not that I have any great interest in seeing the movie, but thought this was unusual.

There are actually quite a few movies that are available for D2D but not to purchase outright. Monty Python's Holy Grail and Life of Brian, The Abyss and Rope are a few that spring to mind.

I would not convert The Abyss at this time. It is only available in SD and the transfer is truly horrendous, one of the worst I've seen on Vudu. If I remember correctly, it uses a 'full screen' image and stretches it wide to 16:9 widescreen, meaning that the picture is stretched to make everything look wider than it should. I would wait until this is available in HD with the proper aspect ratio.

That just means Vudu doesn't offer it for sale atm, if you D2D it, it will show up in your collection.

These titles show up on the D2D eligible list, however, when you insert the DVDs, Vudu2GO reads these titles all as, "disc to digital ineligible titles."

We know. It's an unfortunate problem lately. Vudu adds movies but doesn't activate them in the app for some reason. I'm shocked Grand Budapest Hotel actually reads for you. That's a fairly new release which usually don't read at all.

The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean appears to currently not be eligible for D2D. While it is still on Fattie's list, the site no longer recognizes it as a D2D title and does not offer it for rental or sale.

Man very few titles being added anymore and even those are far between releases. I hope it's not a bad sign studios are giving up on allowing use to do catalog titles.
