You need to direct this comment to Disney.

        Lol... Disney + Ultraviolet...

Right now if you buy a Disney movie on Vudu, it does NOT transfer to your Ultraviolet locker. So in essence, spending ANY MONEY on Vudu's Disney Movies right now does not get them on Ultraviolet. Which in return, if you want to put them on ultraviolet, the company has to allow their movies to be ultraviolet, which MIGHT TAKE a HUGE amount of money.

Long story short, D2D is company only, it's not up to VUDU.

        Disney is NOT Ultraviolet.

Buying a movie on Vudu does NOT guarantee you that you're movie is Ultraviolet, you need to look for the UV logo.

But the main thing here is that the companies choose which movies are Disc To Digital, not VUDU. People can ask, and ask, and ask for a movie, but VUDU cannot do anything about it. If you contact the studios though... you will receive better information

Funny thing is that now that I have adopted Ultraviolet, I still will buy the disc versions for browsing and just to have a hard copy (which is something I appreciate).

However, I have practically stopped buying any discs (or even Digital downloads) unless it is also on Ultraviolet. Which means despite loving Disney moves (especially for my kids), I simply have stopped buying them until they come onto UV.

I continue to buy the Disney movies in hopes they will eventually become available for D2D and UV. I know that is a long shot, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I have stopped buying DISNEY also, until they allow ultraviolet conversions, I am through! I believe its gouging the fans (KIDS) after we have already purchased the movie. Now give us access to it!!!! Only us as a community can get the message to Disney that its simply not right to make people buy a movie again...

Re: All Disney Movies Available on Disc to Digital

If the back catalog is added to DigitalCopyPlus, I will be happy. Once Disney sees the UV light I expect copies redeemed on Vudu will transfer over to the UV library, and if they don't, at least I'll have my movies on a service I like and use, instead of trying to use iTunes.

Also interested to see if some re-releases, like Little Mermaid, will be the new style, or old style digital copy (saw a pre-release cover online that didn't say "DigitalCopy+")

The biggest wrinkle in Disney going UV that I can see is that a competing studio (Warners) owns Flixster. I could see where Disney would make arrangements to go UV but still prevent Flixster from having rights to their content. That would at least let customers use either CinemaNow (Best Buy) or Vudu (Walmart) to access the content.

Disney movies will now have their Digital Copies as Downloads instead of a Disc. You can set it to Vudu.com.
