Is VUDU coming to the Nexus Streamer?

So on yesterday, Google announced several new devices. One of these was the Asus Nexus Streamer, the first consumer device running the new Android TV platform.
    http://www.google.com/intl/all/nexus/player/

After looking at the graphic, which shows the available apps, I noticed VUDU isn't there. I was thinking of getting one, depending on price, but it's a non-starter if VUDU isn't going to be on it.

Are there any plans for VUDU to support this device?

    PLEASE. PLEASE !!!

I'm been playing with my Android TV Dev Unit for weeks and it's SOOOOO much nicer than the Roku 3. I really want to drop my Roku 3 (off a cliff) and the Nexus is the perfect choice ! ! !

If they can make an Android version it shouldn't be much coding to do a Nexus TV version.

I know it's not natively supported but shouldnt you be able to cast it from a tablet or phone.. just maybe a temp fix until a native app is made

I already have a Chromecast for such functionality. And in all honesty, I don't like using the VUDU app on tablet or phone. It really needs an overhaul from a UI perspective. I'm not sure why they won't make the app more resemble the mobile website (obviously with a more "material" look for Android).

          Can someone from Vudu respond?

I will probably get one regardless (for the excellent Plex app), but it would be nice to know if a Vudu app is planned.

They made an app for Google TV at one point. I imagine they'll make for Android TV as well.

I'm curious, were you able to get casting to work from the Vudu app to the Dev Unit?

I've had the Nexus Player for a day now and really like it, but so far have had no luck getting the Vudu app to recognize the Nexus Player and give me the option to cast to it. Luckily, screen casting seems to work pretty well, so guess I'll have to use that for my Vudu content in the meantime.

Hopefully we'll get an Android TV version of the Vudu app in the near future!

I don't have a Droid phone / tablet, only Apple so I wasn't able to do anything with the Droid TV in terms of casting.

Ah, that's a shame. No matter, I was just curious if the casting issue was specific to the Nexus Player or an issue with Android TV in general. Thanks anyway!

Adding a comment to say I really hope that Vudu makes an app for Android TV on the Nexus Player.

Also waiting for a response. Also found VUDU can not cast to it.

Yeah I am having the same issue and it's frustrating. On one TV I can cast to a chromecast but on another TV I can't cast to the Nexus player. Vudu... please address this.

Looks like vudu is trying to get people to use their own vudu stick by not supporting some platforms:

It looks like they removed casting from Chromecast from the app. If so, that is terrible. Can someone verify if that is the case? I will have to update the wiki page so please let me know.

Casting still works fine for me, to my Chromecast.

Casting from the Vudu app to the Nexus Player has never worked, though. I really wish they would fix that.
