I preordered a movie that is not listed as Instawatch, but every other movie from the same studio (A24) is. The movie is set for a 2/10 release.

Now when i bought Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, I made the purchase online the Monday night before the film's scheduled release date and yet the film was instantly added to my Vudu collection. No hesitation at all. I didn't even have to wait for a shipping notice. So when i placed the order for the 2/10 film (Laggies), I wasn't sure if I should expect it right away seeing as Throne of Atlantis was added the night before release date.

I'm wondering if it'll be added closer to release date.

usually if the company is an Instawatch company it does work even if there is no banner. But, not all movies from those companies are instawatch. For example the movie "What If" is instawatch for DVD only. the BD is not instawatch. I believe all pre-orders give free shipping so the easiest thing to do is to pre-order and if the movie does not pop in with the early digital release then cancel the pre-order.

      Re: Walmart.com and Instawatch

Well...today I decided to try my luck and ordered all 3 Indiana Jones movies as well as Titanic 3D from Walmart.com just so I could get the VUDU copies, since I already own all 4 movies on Blu-Ray. I've been putting it off for quite a while now since I've heard lots of horror stories about InstaWatch since it first started about movies never showing up, but I've wanted these 4 forever and figured I'd open a case with VUDU if I had to. Luckily for me all went as planned as all 4 movies were added and all in HDX! I got my confirmation email from VUDU about 5 minutes after I completed the checkout process. Now I'll just have to sell off the movies once they arrive from Walmart.com and hopefully get close to my purchase price back.

Hey Daniel, I purchase Before I Go to Sleep and Dracula Untold Steelbook in store at my local Walmart. I scanned the QR code with the WM app, but haven't received an IW copy for either. Both titles are listed in InstaWatch section online, so I assumed they were eligible for IW. I scanned Before I Go To Sleep over a week ago and Dracula Untold yesterday afternoon. Can you confirm if those titles (UPCs) are IW eligible?

So now the DVD Standard Def version of Laggies is carrying the Instawatch logo, where as I ordered the Blu-Ray and the Blu-Ray DOES NOT have the Instwatch logo

The disc isn't due to arrive until Thursday according to the UPS tracking. I was really hoping it'd Instawatch so I could watch it sooner.

It seems so strange to me that the dvd would be instawatch, but not the Blu-Ray.

Do they just stick those insta watch stickers on random movies in store?
I got excited and thought maybe Land Before Time was on VUDU

Scanned the receipt and nothing. Will be returning that since only reason that I bought it. There were a bunch on the shelf like that near all the easter movies and stuff.

If I had to guess, I would say that they probably weren't supposed to put those out yet.

                Re: Walmart.com and Instawatch

Hopefully. I thought they had a good POS system at Walmart that didn't allow certain things to be sold before they were supposed to. It is new in that department and wasn't there last week. I don't know Walmart codes but the sticker at top has a PR on it and it only cost 4.88 so maybe it is some upcoming thing.

Bought land before time myself. I'm new to instawatch but over a day later I've haven't seen it yet. Also bought a couple of the land before time 4 packs that also had the instawatch stickers but still nothing. How long does it typically take for the store bought to transfer over?

My last two have been like instant. I bought that super hero Barbie movie last week and typed in the receipt on my phone through the app while still in Walmart's parking lot and it showed up in my VUDU right away. Same with a Monster High movie I got a few weeks ago.

Glad I didn't buy the 4 pack. I was going to see if my niece liked the first one before I bought anymore but if they aren't instant watch either then I won't bother.

                        Re: Walmart.com and Instawatch

Hi I preordered a bunch of movies from walmart.com but only 2 showed up in my instawatch, Summer Camp and April and the Extraordinary world.

The movies: Mothers day, Keanu, Batman the killing Joke, The Trust, Puerto Ricans in Paris, Manhattan Night, The Lobster, meet the Blacks and The Bronze have not shown up.

The movies have all shipped but those listed have not shown up in my vudu account.

I had a similar problem last week where the movie Barbershop the final cut did not show up, and it seems that it was because it was purchased online rather than in store, the in store one has the instatwatch available for it.

I was wondering if there was a glitch? because I was purchasing the movies online so I could get access to them through vudu prior to the shipping arrival but if thats the case I can just wait and buy them the day of in the store.

What's also strange is that I noticed Batman The Killing Joke has instawatch written in the title on walmart.com so at least that one I would expect to have shown up on vudu already,

Thanks for any help you can give.

about a month or two ago I ordered around 5 movie with instawatch.... I waited a few days then contacted vudu when they didn't deposit in my account...... they kept giving me non-anwsers for awhile and made me give proof of purchase which I gave and they transferred me to a different department..... they said thanks for giving proof and would be investigating it.... i watied for days and no response even after I replied again........... I had to wait for the movies to come in and use the uv codes...... I even had to use D2D on one title..... I still have yet to hear from them about it lol... I'm never buying Instawatch again..

Yes, avoid Instawatch at all costs. I've spent about $5,000 on Instawatch titles and can go on and in about problems.

The Disc + Digital program offers most of the same titles and continues to grow quickly.

To me the MAJOR drawback though is that since they are both fulfilled the same way for the physical cost when you buy older catalog D+D titles on Vudu you may pay the standard Walmart shipping fee for non free freight qualification where on Walmart.com you can add several of them to you cart and THEN pay no freight.

I would only buy Instawatch right now if the titles are older, also listed on D+D and D+D charges freight.

On another note, I bought 2 movies in store on Saturday morning. I just got the email about half an hour ago saying my movies were ready. Far from instant. More like 24to48hourwatch.
This would explain why I am not seeing my movies on Vudu yet. Annoyed because I want a hard copy of movie as well as digital and is why I purchase at store. May look into another store instead of Walmart.
