Here's two all-important questions--when does this start, because !AWESOME!, and does this mean you'll have to buy all of your content again in UHD? I have a lot of movies on Vudu and that can get pretty expensive.

I would hope any movie you purchased in HDX would get 4K Ultra HD included.

Why would you think this would happen?

I hope it happens too, but no one said they think it will.

But if 4K is priced higher than HDX, then that's another huge reason why we need a discounted upgrade path. I might pay full price for 4K versions of a handful of my favorite movies, but for most I wouldn't pay full price if I already own the HDX version.

If there were a discounted upgrade, though, as I've said elsewhere, I would already have upgraded every single one of the few SD movies I have.

Sigh. I don't know if I'll get suckered in this time around. I've already bought the same movie in so many formats over the decades. We're getting to the point that for many cases, especially older movies that HDX might be good enough.

You know they'll put out a re-release of your favorite movie in 4k but month later, or the following year they'll re-release it again with something else.

I'm still waiting for the day I can pay flat fee and watch whatever I want and whenever I want. Say $100/mth. If I'm willing to have a commercial between programs (not during) then maybe $50/mth. Think what streaming music as become. We need something for movies and tv now too.

I don't know if I'd do the all-you-can-watch deal, but I'd pay an extra $5 or maybe even $10 per title to be guaranteed access to all past and future cuts (director's, theatrical, extended), resolutions, and other releases of that one title.
