    Language question

Is language determined by the country on VUDU? What about Canada, where there is 2 official language french and En.
What if you live in Quebec, just french. Would you get your VUVU movie in French?

    Thanks

    Re: Language question

Since Vudu is only available in the United States, English is used on our content. Of course, with the exception of foreign films.

When are you going to start offering movies and TV classic programs in Spanish? There are millions of Spanish speaking people ready to jump into VUDU if you guys offer this service. I miss programs like Mission Impossible in Spanish or Lost in Space. Also, you need to start offering all Cantinflas movies. There is only one available though "Romeo y Juleta".

        Re: Language question

You would probably need to ask that question to the movie studios, not Vudu. It's about availability and demand.

Vudu operated in Mexico for a while. I have to imagine they had a decent content library, but they might need to renegotiate deals to show those in the US now.

It could be worth it, though. Wikipedia (yeah, yeah) says there are 41 million native Spanish speakers in the US these days.

Just curious (not promising anything) - what would be the interest in Spanish subtitles vs dubbed movies? (given subtitles would be easier to add).

And I really with you'd rethink that with the Godzilla films. Godzilla films are nowhere near as fun in Japanese. Part of the fun is in the cheesy dubbing. Vudu really needs to change the language on all those Godzilla films to English.

Here is an old thread regarding that issue:

We have already asked the studio about the Godzilla movies. That was their decision to only offer English/Japanese, whatever the case may be.

If you add Spanish Subtitles that would be a HUGE PLUS. Cable already has the option for SAP.
