    UHD BD + InstaWatch

Anyone buy any of the new UHD Blu-Ray movies from Wal-Mart which came with InstaWatch?

If so did it add HDX or UHD to your Vudu library?

I was at my closest Walmart this morning and asked two of the people at the Entertainment section of the store. Both of them said they haven't even received any 4k movies at all to put on display. Who knows?

    1 UHD
    719 HDX
    1 HD
    2 SD

Thats interesting as Walmart.com (as well as Amazon, Best Buy, etc) have been shipping (some) titles for at least a week now.

The UV codes give the HDX version only so I'd assume that's what you'd get...

Good news! On VUDU, redeeming the UltraViolet codes included in the 4K Blu-ray discs for San Andreas, Pan, Mad Max: Fury Road and The Lego Movie will redeem the VUDU UHD format.

Maybe it would be a good idea to keep a thread for just all the movies that will redeem in UHD when done through Vudu? Is this the complete list so far?

            San Andreas
            Pan
            Mad Max: Fury Road
            The Lego Movie

            2 UHD
            718 HDX
            1 HD
            2 SD

Were you actually able to redeem the San Andreas code at Vudu.com? I just tried it and it says it's an invalid code. When I look at the UV sheet it says I need to redeem it at Flixster.

I just tried Mad Max but that worked fine. The UV card was for WB. But then I tried The Lego Movie and that didn't work either. That UV card was for FLixter also.

My movies of the above say to redeem at WB.com/redeemdigital. Both UV codes redeemed fine on VUDU, I would presume if you used the codes elsewhere you would not get the UHD version on VUDU. I bought my copies at Best Buy.

                    Thanks!!

I found out what the problem was. I went to the Flixter site and when I entered the code it said it was for the wrong region. WHen entering at Vudu it just says the code is invalid. So all the titles I got from Canada won"t work. I tried Lego, San Andreas and a several of the Sony UHD Titles. At their prospective sites they say wrong region and at Vudu they say invalid.

So I did save around 25% off those titles by getting them from Amazon Canada instead of from BestBuy or Amazon in the US. But the UV streaming codes won't work here in the USA. The 2D BDs work properly though. So in the end I guess it's still worth the savings.

I can confirm this. I just tried all of those codes except for Pan which I don't own and they gave me the UHD copies. The downside is I already sold off the codes for most of the Sony and Fox UHD titles I've bought since I was under the impression these were for HDX only. Oh well, it could be a long time before those studios even have their movies available on VUDU. Shoot, I can't even watch the WB ones at the moment after selling my Roku 4.

What I'm curious about is how it shows up on myuv.com. Does it show that you own it as HD or UHD?

The myuv.com site hasn't worked for me for a long time now. They keep saying it will be fixed soon, but all it shows are 16 titles for my collection. I've logged in and out several times and tried different browsers and it doesn't make a difference.

Mad Max: Fury Road 2015 R

From director George Miller comes the fourth adventure in the Mad Max film series. In a post-apocalyptic world, Max (Hardy) teams up with a mysterious woman, Furiousa (Theron), to try and survive.

San Andreas shows SD, UHD, HD as well.

One movie that I upgraded on VUDU does not show UHD on myvu.

myvu shows 605 for me......and has worked since day one....

Wow, that's amazing news! Thanks for confirming. I was very concerned that UltraViolet wouldn't be supporting UHD and that the studios would be moving to a new system.
