Need the case artwork for D2D at Walmart?

I'm donating and recycling my blu-ray cases with the artwork and I thew out some of the artwork from the cases as well. I store my blu-rays in a CD binder to save shelf space. Do I need to bring the artwork as well for Walmart to do a D2D on a DVD or Blu-ray or is just bring the disc enough for Walmart to do D2D?

I went to Walmart for D2D about a year ago for a blu-ray I owned but I did not bring it in the original case and did not bring the artwork, just brought the disc in a fabric sleeve but the employee that did the D2D on it said next time I go in for a D2D to bring the artwork as well.

I could see that, since lots of titles have unrated/extended/director's cuts along with the original theatrical cuts. However, I would also assume it would list the version cut on the disc as well with the title. I don't see why you would need artwork. DVDs are years old, lots I have seen have destroyed artwork or not at all. I can't imagine what the working said being true at all.

I've never taken the artwork. Only once did an employee say something and I said "why, it shows the title on the disc" and she said "You're right" and processed the transaction.

When I take in my unrecognizable BDs usually 50 Plus at a time for the D2D verification by a Wal-Mart employee they really use the Bar Code numbers to find the VUDU titles quickly. If I only brought in the BD disks only, it would just take longer for them to type every title in. Believe me, I need to get in & out of there as fast as possible. The Photo people standing around loitering can get a little nutty. I hear them muttering "Not the VUDU guy again".

I've never had them type titles in. They just pull up my account and verify the movies are on the printout I brought. If you add the titles ahead of time on Vudu's store d2d and print the list they should not have to type anything in. Just verify you have the disc you listed.

That's what I do (last time was yesterday). Took five minutes from the time I got to the photo counter to finish, and that included them confirming that each movie I brought was same as on my list. I had full case and art for all but one - not an issue at my store.

Went to Walmart last night with just the discs. Employee would not process without the artwork, even called the manager who said the same thing. I told them I've done it before with just the discs. I picked the titles from the Vudu preapproved list and printed it out... not sure what the problem is. Grrrrr...
