The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience.     Good Old Family Movies

    Since I find most new releases and television shows mostly offensive, I wanted something like Vudu to be my avenue to for meaningful movies with quality messages behind them for my family to watch. "Father knows Best" "Leave it to Beaver" and movies like "Lillies of the Valley", or "One Night with the King". When they are over, you have this great feeling like you and your kids just watched a wholesome show and heard a good message.

    These types of shows and movies share quality values into the viewer's hearts as they watch them. I am hoping that a good thrust toward this kind of content will come from the heart of those who are making decisions about what will be available on my Vudu.

    As a conservative American, this is what I value and hope Vudu can deliver.

    Vudu has a lot of classic movies, and they're mostly 99 cents to rent and $4.99 to own, and they run promotions where some older movies are free to rent! My daughter really liked The Inspector General with Danny Kaye. I love the old classic comedies with Kaye, Caesar, Mostel, Winters, Thomas...I wish they had more than they do. Even though we're on complete opposite ends of the political spectrum, I'm sure there are some movies we could agree upon!

      You can set Vudu up to display movies that are only of a certain rating and that's all it will show. There's also two NR categories: NR Family and plain old NR. It's not perfect though as there is some decent family content still being caught in NR, but if you want to set your box up for only certain content you can sure do that in parental controls and then you'll never even see posters or anything beyond what you are interested in.

        I think, all of TV content is being rated NR, isn't it? At least, all the Nova programs (from PBS) were rated NR. They really should do something to distinguish between "good" NR and "bad" NR.

          I use a "ahem" different streaming service "cough cough" to stream classic tv shows. I am a sucker for Simon and Simon, Quincy, and the Munsters. But when it comes to being family friendly I think Vudu is top notch.
          I do not have kids but when I invite people over that do have kids I know I can trust Vudu. When the adults are watching a not so family BD in the theater I can set up the Vudu in the family room turn on the parental locks and let them choose from hundreds of family friendly fare (how's that for alliteration)..... though it seems that all they want to pick are scooby doo movies and the smurfs.
          So trust me and the others in saying Vudu offers the best quality and and a wide catalog of films that cater to all walks of life even families be they conservative or liberal.
