The frustrating part is some of these used to be available.

Read through the old forum messages

Total Recall has come and gone several times. When the BD or 4K gets a new release I'm sure it will be back up.

Cannonball 1 is a hard one, but it's never been there or not for some time.

A lot of classic 70 and 80's movies have contractual problems. In some cases it's not even clear who own's what anymore. So nothing new can be released.

MGM titles are a classic example. The studio was chewed up, spit out, and sold off sooooo many times during the 80's and 90's that the contracts are lost or incomplete.

Things like Disney buying FOX have also complicated things.

Then you have many of the studios having their own streaming channels and keeping content for themselves.

Oddly I find a lot of stuff on Tubi I can't find anywhere else.

jeremymc7 Sadly you are not wrong. So many titles have come and gone only for us to hope they come back. (Many had I known I would have rushed to buy back the day). Granted with Vudu's wonderful search function many of those I do own are hidden unless endlessly scrolling through my collection without filters. Then often one version is discontinued, and another arrives (often with no noticeable change in film or studio).

I was hoping Amazon buying MGM would help improve the missing MGM titles (and hopefully, though unlikely, add Amazon Studios/MGM titles to Movies Anywhere).

Disney/Fox has its challenges, should have finished doing a D2D on my Fox movies before the acquisition, now I am paying for it (literally).

There are so many randomly available on bluray that aren't available to buy on streaming, some of which you cant rent but not buy which confuses potential licensing related issues even more (Three Amigos! is one example). Others that are on Bluray but Vudu only offers in SD (Warlock is one such example). And still, and not Vudu fault, there are a number of titles from the Movies Anywhere studios that either aren't eligible for service, or the other extreme of some movies that are eligible but aren't available to buy anywhere (Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving is an example). And not even going to get started in those missing Atmos audio tracks that have them on Bluray, or even more frustrating by Vudu can't offer multiple languages without charging you to buy the movie again while DVDs and Blurays often multiple languages on the same disc.

As for Tubi and the ever-growing list of other services, I do use them when I have to. I am not fond of ads, especially on streaming services as it is often the same ad every few minutes. But mostly I wan't finish converting my phyical collection to digital and there are hundreds of titles remaining to do (some I am waiting on sales but many others simply aren't available).

I've been trying to find Amos and Andrew (1993) & Josh and S.A.M. (1993) from the Studio Warner Bros Since February 2021 of last year.
