Felipe for the love if god have vudu fix the own season bug already when tv imports. Been asking for months now and no one at vudu says anything other than thats how its supposed to work. Newsflash thats not how its supposed to work fix it already. Also fix the tv part of vudu mobile app. Its unusable having 60 episodes of batman just scattered and same with others. These bugs need some updates already. How does QA let obvious bugs like this go through. Come on now.

If I understand how this all works Flixster is a subsidiary of Time Warner AKA WB so of course they would have something from wb available on day 1, I am going to stick up for Vudu here we all use Vudu because of all the UV enabled sites it has the greatest selection and the only working customer suport( have any of you tried talking to flixster or ultraviolet lately) and the new interface fixes most of the tv show problem. no Vudu is not perfect but its as close to perfect as we have.

What bug? Only "season bug" I see is it doesn't turn off the "buy season" buttons when you already own the season, but that's minor. And all my episodes are where they're supposed to be on the TV tab -- unless you're complaining that season 2 is split into two parts (a WB licensing issue that Vudu can't fix, just like the bonus features -- yeah Flixster lists all 60 together but I doubt they actually SELL the season like Vudu does), or that UV lists all 120 episodes individually (we all know the UV website is garbage -- if I had any say they would be back on their first site already).

Where did you buy/redeem your Batman shows? I'm betting that kgreen29 bought/redeemed them at Flixster, which is probably giving individual ALIDs for every single episode instead of a season ALID , so that's what goes in the UV locker, and that's all any UV partners can show. Or maybe WB never issued a season ALID, which means only the provider with whom you bought/redeemed the season could show it like that anyway, no matter what Flixster does.

I have no real idea what the problem is, but this is based on having read every single post on this board since...well, forever.

I redeemed at Flixster, the only option available at the time. Yes, the series was licensed as 120 individual episodes in my case too; they appear individually at UVVU.com and at other UV providers that don't support the series yet. (Indeed, it took awhile for even Flixster to show them all.) However, Vudu did place all my episodes in their correct seasons (though the second half of season 2 had to wait till Vudu actually released it), and all the seasons together under the series icon. Episode ALIDs seem to be normal for UV, but that isn't necessarily the cause of kgreen29's problem...

Re: Batman 60's TV Series on the Vudu schedule?

Sorry was bringing a few posts into my one to Felipe. First off the buy buttons is not exclusive to Batman. Its any tv series redeemed elsewhere imports into vudu showing the episodes owned but season buy still lit along with redeem. Again its every uv tv show redeemed elswhere. Vudu bug only looks at episode ids and diesnt see the whole season is owned. Its not a minor bug because i had a family member not know something was owned and purchased a whole season again. Ive brought this up for over a year to support and been told oh thats the way its supposed to work. It shouldnt be that way. Uv should be seamless.
Second the scattered episodes if you read my post is in the vudu mobile app. This is related to the problem above. Redeemed in flixster does not recognize season so it doesnt put it in a season folder. It literally scattered all 60 or whatever episodes outside any folder where its almost all i see and basically destroys my ability to search.
Now the reason i complained here is because this was yet another time that vudu did not have redeem on time forcing redemption elsewhere hence compounding above bug. Breaking Bad was another not redeemable on time. I have 1100 films 50 diff tv seasons, and am enlisted as a beta tester. Been using vudu since inception so i know what bugs have been around and customer service seems to shrug off. If i posted a screen cap of my vudu mobile tv you guys would laugh. Seriously so many episodes outside folders i cant find anything.
So my comments were for Felipe who knew what i was talking about. Felipe im not pointing at you, its the developers and customer service who ignore it. I simply want to know it will be worked on for its a huge detraction for many.
The old mobile app had redeemed episodes in folders, new one doesnt. I understand the aldid but if all episodes are owned, mark the season as owned and remove the buy button.

The issue with seasons not showing as completed (hence the option to still buy the season) is definitely being investigated.

It just doesnt make sense why you can own a season with one UV partner but it doesnt show ownership with another ,
sony target flixster cinemanow have zero problems with this . I have called and contacted sony when I had a problem with breaking bad ,then when I asked why does vudu still have the option still to buy, they told me only vudu can disable that.

when you purchase certain disc your told to redeem at such and such place , so that is very confusing for the consumer and when it doesn't appear on vudu & your left to think or call to figure it out if it will port here.

this says complete series not individual episodes once again

not to take sides but most wb tv seasons tell you to redeem them on Flixster.com/getuv so if i saw that i would go to flixster and redeem it there.

That's what I did and if I would have waited and redeemed on Vudu, I would have received the bonus features available via streaming. With Flixster, I did not.

The point being.....Kingdm9 is correct. There should be consistency in the ultraviolet eco-system. This is no-brainer stuff. When Vudu contacted WB about the issue, WB (per posts in this thread) told Vudu to simply not include the bonus material to any future redeemers on Vudu for the series. Real nice, huh? Those of us that paid $179 and pre-ordered months ahead......we basically got a FU from WB.

This all reminds me of the major record labels getting greedy in the 90s. They stopped releasing singles in the U.S. to try to force folks into buying more albums. They started signing crappy "artists" instead of investing in real talent and then Napster comes along. They trained a whole generation, and those to come, to view music as a disposable commodity and to be cynical. I'm pro-capitalism all the way - but that includes watching overly greedy titans fall flat on their faces too when the consumer turns away from them. The movie studios may want to take note and start viewing the buying public as customers they may want to hang onto. Its smart business.

The ultraviolet concept is a great idea. It needs a lot of fixes though. I could tell you a few stories even just about taking 3 blurays to 2 different Walmarts this weekend. I realize these are all separate entities in the eco-system - but it all has to work together to be an effective competitor. At the end of the day - it is a paid for service, and if consumers are unhappy with the service, they'll walk away. Not trying to overstate any of this....there are much bigger issues in the world obviously.......but the complaints folks have about Ultraviolet and affiliates.....they should be addressed and issues solved instead of brushed over (or, more accurately.....passed over because there are so many parties involved and lack of accountability or direction in terms of who is responsible as well as consistency issues). It's good business.

For anyone who purchased or redeemed the BATMAN: COMPLETE SERIES set digitally, there were issues of missing content involving Episode 1 (missing narration) and also the Season 2 Marsha Queen of Diamonds episode (missing a tag on Part 2), issues that WB intends to fix both via disc replacement and updates to the UV digital versions. Their official statement can be found here:

                        http://digitalbits.com/columns/my-two-cents/120214_1500

No idea on the time frame, or whether the new 'bonus features' they are adding will be included on the digital side. Hopefully whenever the updated files are made available to the digital providers, VUDU can get them uploaded to their servers in a reasonable time frame (fingers crossed).

Any ETA from the mods on the two fixed episodes? Will anything else (villain tags, etc.) be made available to those of us who redeemed the code, whether at Vudu or Flixster?

Edit: The correct title of the affected season 2 episode is "Marsha's Scheme of Diamonds"; part 2 of each two-parter always had a slightly different title from part 1. The other one is the very first of the series, "Hi Diddle Riddle".
