Moon HDX looks very bad compared to other services and needs to be replaced

The movie Moon has very poor quality that is not evident on Apple, Amazon or Movies Anywhere in the same HD quality. The most obvious examples are at the 2 minute 20 second mark as the camera pans across the moon and shows shimmering artifacts on the moon and on the satellite. Again at the 3 minute and 46 second mark you can see jagged lines, artifacts on the credits, and the patches on his suit are hard to read because it's clearly not HD quality. At 6 minutes 37 seconds the on screen text is so soft and blurry that it's unreadable. At the 8 minute 45 second mark the happy face on the robot has jagged edges. These are all tack sharp on Google, Apple, Amazon and Movies Anywhere HD versions. There are many more examples throughout the rest of the movie but with these specific examples it should be clear that the HDX version being used by Vudu has unacceptable quality issues and it needs to be replaced with a new copy that looks more like the Amazon, Apple and Movies Anywhere HD versions.

It doesn't matter what device is used to watch the movie, the low quality is evident on all of them.

FelipeF Would you please pass this along so it can be fixed? I submitted a ticket months ago without the detailed time stamps and was eventually told they didn't see a problem which extremely frustrating. If they take the time to view the HDX version at the times shown it will be clear that they need to replace the version they are streaming to customers. Thanks.

FelipeF I submitted a problem report for Father Goose and I'm happy to say that Vudu actually replaced the poor quality version with one that is in HD. Would you please do whatever it was you did for Father Goose with Moon so that the low quality HDX can be replaced as well? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Yes this! I used Vudu disk to digital to convert my blu-ray and it looks so bad. I thought it was my new TV but I guess not. I can't believe they haven't done anything to fix it. Like you said though it is available from a bunch of other places and it looks fine everywhere else but Vudu. I guess I should be buying from those places instead as well.

Has the movie company that provides the source video gone out of business so Vudu is stuck with the SD masquerading as HD version or does Vudu simply not care that they're selling a version that is clearly not HD quality? Either way it sucks that we're stuck with such a bad looking movie despite paying good money for it.

My “Moon” movie has captions that appear on screen about 13 seconds afraid of the audio, making them useless. How do I write a ticket to get this fixed? Thank you.
