Wii U Support ?

    Wii U Support ?

Just curious if there any plans to support the Wii U. It's going to have Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, and Hulu Plus. It would be really awesome if VUDU supported the Wii U with 1080p support.

I second this. The Wii U is not only capable of handling Vudu, but has the chance of being even more Vudu friendly than the other current gaming consoles. Vudu would do itself a favor by getting their service ready for the Wii U, and soon! Wii U launches in 2 months and having it available for the holiday season would definitely lead to a boost in users and movie sales.

I use Vudu to rent movies on my PS3, but I'm switching all my streaming over to the Wii U when it arrives next month. If VUDU isn't available day one on my Wii U, I'm going to use Amazon Instant Video...and so will everybody else.

I believe he meant everybody switching from using the PS3 to using the Wii U, and it was hyberpole, not a statement of fact. The Wii U does sound really cool but somehow I don't think the migration from the PS3 will be that huge. The Wii U with TVii looks like the best game console as far as the smart TV aspect. This is quite a surprise based on how poor the Wii was in that regard.

It won't take much to beat what the PS3 offers. It's one of the worst streaming devices. Most of it's streamiing apps have issues with sending out the proper audio.

If VUDU ever released a Wii U app, I would use it all the time. So far I have loved what Netflix and Hulu have done implementing the second screen and even if VUDU just did the same, it would be an amazing addition.

Second the Ps3 is all I use for streaming besides my PsVita with Netflix, and Youtube on the go. IMO I think the Ps3 streaming experience is just fine, works great with VUDU. I don't have a Wii U and don't plan on getting one so I can't comment on that without fully testing it out first.

Surely there are plans for Wii support. I enjoy netflix and HULU from my Wii almost everyday. I am new to VUDU and do not have a PS3 nor do I plan to purchase one. I DO own a Wii and would like to view VUDU on my TV instead of laptop. I know personally I would be more likely to uses VUDU if it supported the Wii.

Has there been any news on if Wii U is getting a VUDU app yet? I know the system is only 3 months old, but having all of my Video streaming apps on one console would be awesome and VUDU is the only hold out so far for me. The Gamepad screen makes it a lot easier to just curl up with a good movie.

Yes Wii U support would be great. So far my Wii U handles streaming better then my PS3. And it's nice to have that second screen for additional info on what your watching! And Mii verse support keeps fans interacting and informing others via the console!

I am in the same line as these guys. I have a Wii U and would love to have Vudu on it instead of my Xbox because it is so much easier to play videos on the Wii U than any other system. and it has the second screen and it would be awesome.

Would love to have Vudu on my Wii U and it would also be nice on my 3DS and Vita. I have hundreds of movies on Vudu and would love to have more access to them! Keep up the great work but make sure your looking into new platforms to spread the Vudu love with!

I don't know about these guys trash talking the PS3, but I've been streaming via my PS3 for over a year now and have not had one single issue. It has worked perfectly! However, my kids have the WII U and it would be cool if I could have them watching Vudu from there and not my PS3. So they could watch their cartoons from the WII U while I'm watching my horror movies from my PS3. That would be awesome!
