    Thank You!

Ill continue to watch more movies this week and let you know if I run into any issues.

Ever since the big Time Warner Cable and Xbox issue (no xbox live), vudu has not been the same.

That is what I noticed! That one weekend Xbox Live was inaccessible and XBOX status read there was an issue with Time Warner Users and XBOX Live.

Tried watching Amazing Spiderman, gave up, kept getting that error message.

          Re: Xbox Playback Error

I'm receiving the same error message every few minutes.

"Sorry, VUDU Movies isn't available right now. Please try again later. For more information, go to www.xbox.com/status."

I tried switching from HDX down to HD and received the message. I again tried downgrading, this time to SD, and I still receive the message.

As a comparison, I can flip over to my AppleTV and stream 1080p videos just fine. Even Amazon Instant Video on my Xbox has no issues streaming HD video

Who is your internet access provider? By any chance is it Time Warner?

Same thing happens to me regardless of chosen quality, usually several times per movie, sometimes it will recover/continue playing, other times it won't. Not once did I recieve that message streaming HDX on my HTPC, connected to the network in the exact same manner as the Xbox. And, yes, I have Time Warner :-(

                      Re: Xbox Playback Error

You can try changing the DNS on your XBox 360

                      Settings > System > Network Settings > Wired/Wireless > Configure Network > DNS Settings

                      Change that to Manual and try using the following;
                      Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
                      Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
Those are Google's Primary and Secondary Public DNS Servers.

I have my XBox like that with a Static IP and DMZ in the Router and I have no Issues. However I do not have Time Warner but Cox. At the very least its always worth a shot and you can always change it back to Automatic if you come across any issues.

If your XBox 360 is still freezing after the November 20th update there is a temporary work around to it that can be found here: http://forum.vudu.com/showthread.php?t=649651

I am unable to watch anything on VUDU on my 360... Started a few days ago. I have Xfinity. Just gives the "VUDU not available" message. The one movie that DID start up , Res Evil, hiccupped over and over even after switching to HD and then just quit.

My boss, who is on FiOS, asked me if I was having VUDU issues the other day, as he is having the same issues. WTH? Sucks that I can't watch any movies on my Xbox when it had been flawless up to a week or so ago...

I find it strange that A. Thee seems to be no official notes from VUDU people in this thread and that B. it seems to be non reproducible, even though there are obviously many of us that it is affecting...
