    Xbox Playback Error

    The past couple months, every time I rent a movie on Vudu I get a playback error about every 5 minutes or less. The error simply says "Playback Error - Sorry, VUDU movies isn't available right now. Please try again later. For more information, go to www.xbox.com/status"

    It's very frustrating, I've tried connecting to my network wired and wirelessly, neither make a difference. I've reset everything a few times.

    I am getting the same issue.

    Was not doing this before and started doing this about 3 weeks ago.

    Can not watch a movie or else I get the:

    "Playback Error

    Sorry, Vudu movies isnt available right now. Please try again later. ...."
    Every few minutes.

    Xbox status shows it works and all other apps work (netflix, amazon, etc.)

    Can someone check into this?

      Are you on Time Warner Cable?

      Ever since the big Time Warner Cable and Xbox issue (no xbox live), vudu has not been the same.

              No this seems to be a Vudu issue. I can try to watch a movie on Vudu and I get the same error every few minutes (which sucks) and I have checked XBox live and it is up each time.

              Case in point, I tried watching Snow White and the Huntsmen on Vudu first, gave up because of the playback error issue. So I decided to watch it on Amazon and it was flawless.

              I have pretty much given up watching movies on Vudu due to this issue. As I can tell I am not the only one dealing with this.

                There is a newer VUDU version coming out in the next couple of days. Please try again and let us know if it can solve your issue.

                I have heard that the DNS setup can cause trouble with VUDU service, but we couldn't reproduce the issue in house to prove that work. Would you please try to set DNS server to be 8.8.8.8 or 4.2.2.2 to see if it improves?

                  Having this problem as well. My download speed is fast and Xbox games work fine so it's a VUDU issue. I downloaded the xbox VUDU update that provided HDX, which was very nice, but i think thats when this error started happening. New version coming soon you say? that should be interesting.

                        That is when my problems started. Now anytime I go to VUDU, it just sits there and does not do anything

                          We got some reports about this crash but do not know the reason yet. Please hard reset to recover.

                              We are looking into this with high priority. Can you please either post or email us as much detail about your system and setup as possible.

                              What is your (your sisters) display resolution (480p,720p,1024*768, or 1080p)?
