Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc).     yep, Vizio said they can't help. The supervisor stated that a hard reset may allow it to get the new update. She then said that if I refuse the update, the original firmware that was restored from the factory reset might work with Vudu, is that correct?

      I do not believe it will work. Having said that, i have not tried it so i don't know for sure.

        I fixed my issue. Returned my Vizio Co-Stars to Wal-Mart, took the money I got back, and bought 3 Roku 3's. Vudu, Amazon, and Netflix now run smooth as could be.

            No update here yet. I have been using Google TV for years, the updates roll out over a several week period and I always get the update when I get it, not when I want it and nothing I have ever tried makes it happen sooner, I believe the timing is always random. I will check again in a couple of days.

              Ok...great news! I originally had the U 5.6.0 update for my Vizio Co-star Model VAP-430 from the previous U 5.3.0. However I still had the black screen with any Vudu movies in any HD format. I decided to check again tonight and it is now working! The HDX video quality is outstanding! I did not test the Dolby Digital over my Pioneer receiver yet, but my guess is that it should be great baaed on what the picture looked like. The funny thing is that I didn't notice any new update to my U 5.6.0. I had given my ESN to Dan. But I was expecting to have to re-update it myself. Dan...were you able to do something? Did they force a re-update of U 5.6.0 without me seeing anything? If so, thank you very much! I actually love the Co-Star now. All apps generally work great. My only issue is that I wish the Chrome browser was more stable. It does crash occasionally when browsing quickly from page to page. Also wish it was faster within pages. I have 24 mps downstream...so my Internet speed or ping shouldn't be an issue.. That may be a Honeycomb for Google TV limitation on speed/efficiency. But Vudu over the Co-star is outstansing! Great job guys. You deserve big kudos.

                  Dan...thanks so much! That is awesome. I don't know how you do it. But you guys on this forum deserve all the credit. I don't think I could ever get to the right people over there at Vizio on my own. You guys definitely have the clout. I'm also happy that Vizio was responsive to my ESN. I wonder what they did? Anyway...it works perfectly now thanks to you. Now if I can only get them to make the Chrome browser more stable.

                    I just checked system update, the update to build U5.6.0 was available, I installed it, rebooted the Co-Star and Vudu still doesn't work.

                            If it is updated to Android 4.2,x, the Chrome browser version will be newer and more stable but at the expense of losing Adobe Flash. There are workarounds for Flash but none are great, currently only LG Google TV models run Google TV Android 4.2.2 and other than no Flash Player, it is reported to be an improvement by most. I don't know if Vizio will go to the trouble, in fact I doubt it, but we can hope.
