I had downloaded HDX versions of several of my movies for local viewing, at the cost of many hours.
Yesterday I opened Vudu to Go and was informed that an update was available. It appeared I had no choice in the matter, I couldn't get to the downloaded movies page. So I installed the update (which was a pain--I had to go to the support page to find that it was necessary for me to uninstall Adobe Air and reinstall, because of some unspecified error which prevented the update from installing.)
When I finally got the update installed, I went to my downloads page and there were zero entries in the list. I'm at a hotel (shared bandwidth) and cannot stream without constant buffering--which is why I spent all that time downloading in the first place.
A search of my hard drive does not turn up the downloaded files.
Am I going to have to wait until I get back home and try to download all my movies again? What's to keep this from happening again in the future? If I don't have the confidence that movies I've purchased will remain on my hard drive, that severely limits the utility of this program. I'm quite distressed that the app even has that power, to remove owned content without notifying me.
