The Vudu Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Vudu experience. Here, Vudu customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Vudu and Vudu -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Vudu customers with questions and/or problems with their Vudu service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Vudu Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Please post all comments in English. When posting a comment in the Vudu Forums, please conduct yourself in a respectful and civil manner. While we respect that you may feel strongly about an issue, please leave room for discussion.

Vudu reserves the right to refrain from posting and/or to remove user comments, including comments that contain any of the following:

1. Obscenities, defamatory language, discriminatory language, or other language not suitable for a public forum

    Having a heck of a time getting the app to play a video. I can login in and search but will not play movies. My internet speed is not the issue. Here are things i have done

    Hard wired ethernet connection
    changed wireless connections
    deleted and reinstall vudu app
    reset router
    reset cable modem/router
    hard reset tv
    Tv plays amazon/netflix like a champ

    Tried other things like xbox and tivo with no issues.

    PLEASE PLEASE HELP

      I too have had these same problems with this same TV model and VUDU.
      I also tried all the same solutions you attempted.
      This seems to be the only app that I'm having the issue with on this version of the TV.
      Amazon/Netflix have a button on the remote and are automatically pre-loaded, so you would not expect there to be an issue running those apps.
      My older LG TV is not having any problems running it's VUDU app still.
      Unfortunately, I have come to the belief that it is this very expensive and particular model LG TV that is the problem.
      The LG website is littered with this same complaint from customers and LG said they are working on the issue through software updates.

      Unfortunately, my answer to the problem was not cheap, but has solved my ability to watch these platforms on that model of TV.
      I had to buy a smart device to add to it(ROKU, Fire Stick, Apple TV...etc).

      I will continue to check to see if the issues get resolved occasionally through the software updates, but until then, I'm not beating my head up against the wall trying to enjoy both VUDU and my new TV.
