    Discounts Not Given/NOT GETTING ANY VUDU EMAILS

    Can someone working this forum please tell me why I am not receiving ANY emails from VUDU since 12-20-18? Vudu emails completely stopped after I reported on this thread I have not been receiving discounts or credits offered through Deals of the Day or Watch A Free Movie to receive a 2.00 discount.

    If I don't get a response soon, I will be calling the Wal-Mart District Manager assigned to my area. I have family in management who advised me what to do. I put in a ticket but have had no response. This thread was first posted on 12-19-18 almost 10 days ago.

    On December 12, 2018, last Wednesday Vudu had an offer for the "Deal of the Day" to get 25% off for watching a title from their "Holiday Kisses Collection". I never received an email with the 25% off discount code after watching one of the titles included in the discount offer.

    The week before December 12th, I watched a title from the "New this week collection" to get a 2.00 credit which I never received.


    This happened before due to my email being blacklisted. I've been with Vudu for almost 7 years with the same email address. Why is this happening in the last few months? In regards to "blacklisting" not sure that's the problem, as I'm receiving emails thanking me for my purchases etc.

    EDIT: I haven't received the 2.00 credit for the Deal of Day offered on December 19th. I don't know what's going on but I do expect Vudu to honor their promises. Thanking you for your assistance.

      Still no response. I first posted this on December 19th. I work as a troubleshooting specialist for a cable company who won an award in the last few years for the best customer service in the United States. I've been in the business for more than 10 years. If we operated this way, meaning the "no response" way. We'd lose customers. I've been with Vudu for almost 7 years. The customer service in regards to these forums has declined. Unfortunately. This is not directed toward the moderators, they can only do what they can do. From what I see, there are only two people moderating the forums. Not their fault they're understaffed.

        Sorry I called support asked i have purchased 150+ movies never a credit today they sent me an expired 1 I called support an email them wait and see what happens

          UPDATE: I've purchased several movies since 12-20 and haven't received an email from Vudu like I usually do after making purchases. And I still have not received the 25 percent off discount promised nor the 2.00 credits for the "Deal of the Day in the last two weeks. Another "Deal of the Day" posted for today but I'm not going to bother, cause I'm getting the promised result. Also would like to pre-order the new Halloween and receive the 3.00 credit upon release but won't until somebody resolves this issue. Can someone please help with this?

              I had someone check your email address with our database. Your email is "active", no issues from our end. Must be something going on with your ISP or some kind of filtering going on.

                Are the emails sent with a different address when Vudu is sending a discount code? Or when Vudu sends a, "thank you for your purchase email". I was receiving emails until I posted this thread. Haven't since then. So what I'm saying is, what happened after I posted this to the forum? Did something change with how Vudu sends emails like address etc? I was receiving emails before I posted this to the forum on December 19. I was getting "thank you for your purchase emails and others, just not emails that contain codes for a credit or a discount. The more info I have the better, I work for my internet provider, will check with tech support.

                  Code disbursement e-mails are sent the same way as your purchase confirmations. I've checked your account and I see you have been receiving and opening e-mails as recently as 12/17/18. I would recommend, if you haven't already, to whitelist our email/domain with your ISP or E-mail provider to ensure no issues can arise. Your account, as Felipe said, is Active and should be receiving e-mails as normal.

                  Additionally, I have checked the list of eligible users for the promotions you've mentioned - the Deal of the Day Offer for 12.5 and 12.19 - and I do not see you on them. Can you tell me what titles you watched on those dates? I can look into this if I know what eligible title you may have watched.

                      As I stated in the previous message, I stopped receiving emails after I posted this thread on 12-20. This was posted 12-19. Last email was from Vudu Movies and TV, subject, "Make movies family friendly instantly". Nothing since then. I have purchased numerous movies since 12-20 and have not received "thank you for your purchase" emails either.



                      On the12-12 Deal of the Day, I watched the movie "The Prince and Me"
                      from the Hershey Holiday Kisses Collection to get a 25 percent off discount on my next purchase/rental. I never received the email with the discount code.



                      The12-5 promotion advised to watch a movie from "NEW THIS WEEK" and receive a 2.00 off credit. I don't remember the movie I watched.


                      On the12-19 Deal of the Dayfrom the Santa Claus is Coming to Town Collection, I watched the movie "A Cinderella Christmas"and never received an email with the code for the 2.00 off credit.




                      The list is wrong. Especially regarding 12-12 and 12-19. Remembering back to 12-5 is a bit difficult because I watch numerous movies from Vudu's service. I can assure you I watched the promotions I'm speaking of and have not received the emails with the discount codes. I have no reason to lie or try and get credit I don't deserve. I've been with this service for almost 7 years and have spent thousands of dollars (949+ MOVIES purchased)


                      I don't enjoy jumping through hoops to get 4.00 and a 25 percent off discount. Especially being a loyal, long time customer who has spent thousands in the last 7 years. If it was me handling this situation, the credit would already be on the customer's account. This was an easy one where customer service is concerned.




                      I will get with one of our technical service people (at my place of employment) regarding my email. I work as a troubleshooter for a cable company. I have internet/email with my company. I've had the same email address for many years, so I'm concerned about not receiving emails from Vudu. This has happened before a few months ago (same issue) it was on Vudu's end.

                        We understand your frustrations and we are researching this issue for you. Can you tell us which of your devices you streamed these titles on, if you recall? The more information we have, the more we can narrow this down and see what happened.

                          I watched all the movies from my Roku Ultra. MODEL NUMBER: 4640X SERIAL NUMBER: YP001H847379 SOFTWARE VERSION: 9.0.0 BUILD: 4094-29

                          Just to let you know, I am still not receiving emails. I pre-ordered the new "Halloween" movie around 6pm yesterday, December 27th. I never received an email stating I pre-ordered the movie. Never received an email stating my purchase completed for the pre-order. And on 12-26 I ordered 5 Twilight movies and the 1978 version of Halloween, no emails confirming those purchases.


                          I spoke with one of the supervisors from our tech support regarding internet and email. There is nothing filtered or blocked on our end or in my personal email account. My company is familiar with Vudu's service and there is nothing going on with me or other Vudu customers who use our email service. The email issue has to be coming from Vudu's end. As I said, this has happened before in the last 3 months or so. It was on Vudu's end. Vudu is the only service for which I am not receiving emails. Nothing like this has ever happened before in the 7 years I've been around until the last few months.


                          Also, I wanted to add I did receive an email when I put in the ticket for support from Vudu Support. But nothing from marketing like promotion codes, offers or purchase information etc. is getting through.

                            I never got the last $2 credit, nor did I get the 10% off from this past Tuesday. Not only did I watch one of the TV shows, I watched 3. I should have 100% gotten my 10% off code?..and yes, I've checked the spam / trash folders.
