Iron Man 2 Capt America: First Avenger Blu Ray/Digital Copy??? DMR?

Has anyone ever redeemed movies from the Disney Movie Rewards? (DMR) Back in the day I remembered when you bought a Blu ray version of a movie it would almost always come with a digital copy in the case. I don't see that with newer movies anymore. You specifically have to buy the ones that say Digital on them. I have racked up a fair amount of DMR's and I want to complete my marvel collection but the only have the blu ray copies of Iron Man 2 and Capt America: First Avenger. Cant tell if they will have a Digital copy in with it. Sometimes they do though. Before I redeem it I wanna see if anyone else has ever had experience with this.

    Thanks

Not quite sure what you're asking.

    Digital Copies
Old titles with a digital copy on disc that only worked with iTunes
Then they switched to DMA with a code.
Then they switched to MA with a code

DMR redeemed separate on DMR.com when there was a disc.
DMR also redeemed on DMR.com when they switched to codes and it also redeemed the digital on DMA automatically.
DMR currently is redeemed on DMR.com and then it "asks" if you want to redeem the movie as well and then takes to to MA to redeem separately.

I've gotten and get DMR points for everything I can remember buying on disc and even digital only with Vudu. Plus I get DMR points for seeing Disney films in theaters.

      Sorry if i wasn't clear.

Back in the day I remembered when you bought a Blu ray version of a movie it would almost always come with a digital copy in the case. I almost never see this anymore.

My question is if anyone knows thats still a practice? so like if i found a blu ray copy of Iron Man 2... is there a possiblity that it might have a DMR/DMA/MA code?

Still not quite clear. Are you talking about the old releases with the digital copy on disc, the less older ones with the DMA code slip, or the current ones with MA code slip?

as with everything Disney there have been multiple releases of each titles. Ones worth digits discs prob don?t work anymore. Ones with DMA slips prob do, but not guaranteed. Ones with MA slips will likely for sure will.

The boxes clearly explain what they come with and often times give the expiration dates, which many times are actually good past that date.

Also keep in mind that some (not all) of the physical disc digital copies redeemed on iTunes (prior to DMA / MA) that redeem on iTunes may or may not be MA (or DMA) compatible titles and only viewable on iTunes and not necessarily in MA comparable services like Vudu.

Always better off buying latest release (disc or digital). Likewise most of those Marvel titles have been released on 4K (future proofing) which also give more DMA points.

Nearly all new releases from major studios (including Disney) have digital copies these days.

For example, here is Iron Man 2 on Walmart.com:
          https://www.walmart.com/ip/Iron-Man-...ital/124877321

You can see on the box it says Blu-ray + Digital. That means it includes a physical Blu-ray disc, plus a digital copy code. Movies that do not specify digital usually won't have a code.

How do you get DMR when buying Disney titles with Vudu?

It used to provide DMR points back when DMA and DMR were connected automatically after you bought from any of the previously DMA connected services (VUDU, Amazon, etc). This all changed when DMA shutdown and transitioned to MA.

Just to add, movies which do not state "DIGITAL COPY" on the cover will not have a code or disk to redeem it. There are plenty of movies that do not offer digital copies, but usually they're older ones that usually are available for a bargain price ($5 or less). Disney, for a while, did not offer UV or Digital copies. My first Iron Man Blu ray did not come with a digital copy and I think VUDU couldn't even sell or show it. I actually purchased Iron Man from VUDU later to round out my collection.

Now, your only saving grace to redeem some of these movies are to check if the D2D program has the movie listed. You won't find any Disney movies there, but the ones you do find will be only $2 if Bluray or DVD, and $5 to upgrade a DVD/SD to Bluray/HDX. It's better than nothing, like my Prince of Persia Bluray (no Digital Copy) and some of the Pirates of the Carribean's (no Digital Copy).
