HELP Login Failed There was an internal error Contact Customer Service for assistance

Hello, I have no clue why I am getting this...

I used Vudu all day yesterday and I believe 11pm my movie was done. I even bought a few movies. I even logged on my phone and laptop yesterday to redeem codes faster, but I was watching on my smart tv. I am now trying to log in and I have tried all my devices and I get the same error message. NO VPN. NO ADBLOCKER. No nothing.

I contacted CS, but it can take up to 72hrs and as another reddit user said, with the same issue, they didnt help and just told him dont use VPN or ADBLOCKER.

    Thank you

We are currently experiencing technical issues that might prevent some users from logging in and/or from streaming their content. Our engineers are working on a fix right now to get everyone back to streaming their favorite movies and shows. We hope to have this resolved shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate your patience on this matter.

Try again. As in other messages on same topic should be fixed.

Turn off any VPN's or proxies. Your ISP cannot be a hosting company that offers VPN services either.

We don’t have any VPN’s and are in the United States. We haven’t been able to login for months now

Make sure that your router is allowing Vudu network traffic to reach your location.

The ports 80, 443, 843, 13207, 13217, 13227, 13237, 13247, 13257 are the specific ports required to be open. Some firewalls request a port range - in which case 13,200 to 13299 (TCP protocol) would be appropriate.

Same. Started for me last week and I can't get any answers. I just get the run around and responding to emails over and over. It's not an issue with my equipment or internet, it is an issue with FAH! This is infuriating.

Alright, so I figured it out. Your FANDANGO.com account can NOT have the same email address as your VUDU.com account. If both are the same, you will not be able to access your Vudu account.

Since you can't change the address on your Vudu account because you are locked out, change the email address on your fandango.com account in the account settings.

If you can't do that either, call customer support at 1 (888) 554-8838.

Again, YOU can't have an identical email address on both accounts.

tonyh1975 was exactly right. Couldn't change email addresses in either place so had to call CS. Rep wanted me to escalate the issue rather than simply help me change my email address which I kept on insisting that they do for me. Once they did so on my Vudu account, I was able to log in with the new email address that's different from my Fandango email. It brought me to a new page to try and link my Vudu account to my Fandango account at which point, I had to click the link that says "Maybe Later" in order to proceed so once I did that, I immediately was able to access my library once again (finally). Hope this helps others out there as this has been so frustrating and seems like taking them forever to figure it out for some reason.

this happened yet again to me recently. I opened a support ticket, then, couple days later, with no communications, it mysteriously started working again... everywhere but at my home.

I'm on century link, and after a bunch of research, I did some stuff and fixed this myself.
The issue is clearly fandango at home, and not centurylink gear, in that, all other streamers have always worked 100% perfectly fine, only FAH/VUDU has these issues.

                            - the thing about having a different email for for fandango.com and vudu.com did not work FOR ME. I changed emails, and it didn't help anything.
                            - updating the password did not help me
                            - power cycling or rebooting the modem do not help login
                            - I have no VPNs in play, this was never the issue

I wasn't scientific in what I did, but here's what I did and something of it must have helped, maybe this will help others on Century Link or else where:

                            1. I RESET my home centurylink modem by holding the reset button in while it was powered on, until the power light changed color. this wipes out all your personalized wifi and other setups.
                            2. I unplugged the POWER cord from modem, and also disconnected the DSL cable that went to the wall. Unplugging that for about 5 minutes make the connection box down the street maybe reset its network pathing, and could help this issue. Plugging power and DSL back in, the modem reconnects and configures the hardware connection to the box down the street, MAYBE cleaning up network traffic flow.
                            3. I DISABLED both 2.4G and 5G WIFI inside my modem, and was able to login to vudu on webpage again. I don't know which of these steps cured it. Maybe all of them?
                            4. Reendabled both WIFIs and reset to my settings, all while logging out and back in to vudu at each step to be sure the modem didn't fire up some weird networking addressing translations required for its wifi. Everything kept working.

                            5. I tested my phone, and wifi ROKU vudu and they are working correctly now.
                            6. JUST IN CASE, I also RESET my Windows 11 networking, and at CMD prompt did a ipconfig /flushdns, but doubt that was needed as the choke point was always at the modem itself.

In the past, just unplugging the modem seemed to cure failed login.
Then, it started needing a FACTORY RESET.
Now, I feel like maybe the powering off and unhooking DSL line for 5 minutes forcing the network reset down the street might have been the answer.
OR maybe it was disabling the WIFI, then logging in, then reendabling WIFI.

I say this is Fandango's issue because:
                            - It didn't happen to me before they took over
                            - although it seems to be with centurylink modems (reading other's issues too), it used to work just fine with no gear changes, all competative streamers I use work perfectly fine pointing to Fandango doing something not so brilliant in thier network security setup, possibly triggering something in CenturyLink modems - that no other streamers I've used ever had a problem with.

If (when) it happens again, I will try to be more scientifiic to isolating the issue cause and remedy.

Hope some of this will help others.

Changing how we can purchase things through the app, and then preventing us from logging in on a web browser keeps you from getting our money, Fandango.

This is just one colossal clusterf***, and everyone in charge of this B.S. should be fired.
