    Samsung UN65KS8000 app issues...

    Recently, Samsung sent a new firmware update (2 actually within several days) and since then the Vudu app will login, it'll begin streaming a movie and then within a few minutes it goes to the movie loading screen, clocks for a little bit and then says there's a network error.

    The TV streams everything fine from other apps so I know it's not an ISP related issue. It would appear the Vudu app itself became broken with the recent firmware update. I've deleted the app and reinstalled it all with similar effect. I am able to stream movies from my blu-ray from Vudu just fine as well.

    Lastly, it would be WONDERFUL if Vudu would add a major brand like Samsung to it's 4k UHD approved devices. I'm spending a lot of money with Amazon buying their 4k content while you guys figure it out.

    We are aware of this issue. It seems that the firmware that Samsung released broke part of our app. We are working with Samsung to get this resolved ASAP.

      Great Felipe!

      Any ideas when this top of the line 4k TV will be recognized by your system and I can start buying 4k content from you? It's a shame all my 4k purchases are going to Amazon.

        yeah i have the same issue on my 49inch ks8000. Havent checked on my 55inch ks8500 but its safe to say same issue? eh for now I just use cinemanow to watch or stream my uv titles, but the options or features cinemanow offers is not so great compared to VUDU. I miss having the option of choosing my SD/hd/hdx options, the very ez to use gui/status bar that has my captions options, fast/rewind, etc. am gotta try vudu app on my samsung vudu bluray players see if that works.

        yeah if that error didnt exist I would be using vudu 100% all the time for streaming my UV collection.

        I want 4kuhd support too. I have Deadpool, Batman/superman and a couple other uhd movies registered with VUDU but luckily I have a 4k player for that.

            I just updated the tv to firmware 11.4.1. U have to download the update directly from samsung, unzip the update to a usb stick. According to the site the update has been up for a couple days now but when i tried to update from the tv first still said 1131 was the latest patch. What is the point of a update program on a tv if u cant get the latest update the same time on the website or near the same time period. Afterwards I deleted my old version of vudu from my apps and downloaded vudu again, reenter my vudu info, and prayed I dont get the "network unavailable", 1 episode of supernaturual season 12 episosde 1 with hdx mode, no captions NOT a single pause, stop , or buffer error after watching 1 episode straight ( about 45minutes) , did some scene select of deadpool or just randomly going into my vudu colliction to make sure it wasnt a dream no error or video stops. no more cinemanow or looking at that god awful list they call a UV collection that is missing more than half my tvshows alone....

            I got tired of waiting for vudu to put UHD option on the samsung tv app. Samsung might have a tone of errors when they do or samsung has another update that breaks vudu and we have to wait months again for the fix. I drove in the rain to bestbuy and got a Roku Ultra and now I can stream my Batman/Superman UHD and others without all the samsung headaches. I may had to spend extra cash or work overtime but at least I know on the ROKU Vudu works and I dont have to wait long for fixes that should not take months or weeks to fix a Major problem.

              Hey Felipe, a couple of months later and the app is fixed! Hooray!

              Now, can you give us an update when this premium 4k TV will be recognized by Vudu and allowed to stream 4k? Since my original question I have given Amazon close to $400 on their non-discriminatory services.

                Looking to get an answer on the UHD movies through the VUDU app on the UN65KS8000 as well!

                  I had the same issue with the same TV, I was finally able to get my app working again, but only after talking to 2 different reps. The first person didn't listen to a word that I told him and just had me doing the same things that I had done, with resetting the tv and other stuff. The Other rep finally listened and did a hard reset on the app's for the TV, They have to do this from the admin side, But once he cleared the apps, I was able to get VUDU app installed again and working.
