    Unable to stream Dolby vision

I am unable to stream Dolby Vision on my TCL smart tv. I was able to stream my movies in Dolby Vision prior to the app update. Now i can only stream in HDR10.

What is the make and model of your RokuTV? I have an older model TCL Roku TV and Dolby Vision gets enabled when I play a title that has it. Is it only on certain titles?

It’s a 2023 TCL QM8. A month ago i could play dolby vision movies, but now it’s only HDR10. I could still go to Disney+ and stream Dolby vision. So it’s not the TV, it has to ve the latest update for the Fandango app.

It’s all the movies I own, which is about 200 titles. All capped at HDR10. Movies that i previously watched in Dolby Vision, prior to the update.

Can you give me a couple of titles that have this issue so I can investigate this further for you.

I'm having the same issue. TCL 6 series. Recently purchased Dune 1 & 2. Watched Dune 1 and Dolby Vision worked great. Went to watch Dune 2 yesterday and no more Dolby Vision on any of my titles in the Vudu app, including Dune 1, which previously was.

Dolby Vision works fine on Apple TV+ and Disney so I know it's not the TV.

The black phone, shang chi, 1917, Joker, bullet train, john wick 4. I have a ton of movies that have dolby vision. I just recently downloaded “Movies Anywhere application” on my tv. It is somehow connected to Vudu and the movies i listed above works in Dolby vision. “Movies anywhere” can pull my entire movie library from vudu and i can get by using that app. The problem has to be with the recent vudu update.

Thanks for the Movies Anywhere work around. I downloaded the app and have access to Dolby Vision on all my movies again. Hopefully Vudu gets things worked out.

Our devs are aware of this issue and are already investigating this issue. I'll report back once I have more details on a fix.

I’m having the same issue with my Hisense 65U7K. I’ve tried a few different movies, Hunger Games Mockingjay, Back to the Future 1 and 2, as well as Aliens and they all seem to be capped at HDR10. The movies play in Dolby Vision on the Movies Anywhere app with the same tv. I did try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fandango at Home app on my tv and they still played in HDR10.

I am also having the same problem!
                      TCL QM8 85".
My movies are only playing in HDR10. Dolby Vision no longer works.
I tried reinstalling the app as well and it didn't work.
If you have seen the app on Roku..it is far superior to the Google version.
Fandango needs to update the Google app as well as fix Dolby Vision!

                        Just an update.
I can confirm it's the Google TV version of the app.
I hooked up (although the point of having Google built in is defeated) a Roku Ultra and Dolby Vision works as it should.
Fandango...update and fix your Google app. The interface is old!
