The Vudu Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Vudu experience. Here, Vudu customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Vudu and Vudu -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Vudu customers with questions and/or problems with their Vudu service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Vudu Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Please post all comments in English. When posting a comment in the Vudu Forums, please conduct yourself in a respectful and civil manner. While we respect that you may feel strongly about an issue, please leave room for discussion.

Vudu reserves the right to refrain from posting and/or to remove user comments, including comments that contain any of the following:

1. Obscenities, defamatory language, discriminatory language, or other language not suitable for a public forum
2. Email addresses, phone numbers, links to websites, physical addresses or other forms of contact information

    Can't play movies full screen

    Any movie I play from my library starts off good with the small screen it opens with, when I go to full screen it locks up except for a small part of the screen in the upper left corner. It will eventually freeze and I have to Task Manager to close Vudu. This just started today, I watched 3 movies last night with no issue. Please help.

    Are you video card drivers up to date? Make sure that's the case and give that a try. Do you have any other major apps running in the background that might conflict with video playback?

      I have this exact problem as well. I signed into VUDU last week, have not been here for over a month, and I have the same problem as described by srsuth. I am running Win 10, Flash and video drivers are up to date. Never had an issue before. No settings have been changed on my VUDU account, or on my computer. My Netflix, Amazon, and Dish Network accounts work without a problem.

      I tried uploading screen captures, but the forum upload has a problem.

        I get a black screen when I full screen. I also experience several desyncing issues while not in full screen and going back and forth through the video. All of my drivers are up to date and my computer is a gaming computer so it's more than capable to handle a video player.

          Same thing here. I've noticed the downloaded movies will not go in full screen. I can maximize the window but the full screen feature does not work. The same movies if rented and watched from the VUDU site I can full screen no problem. Only seeing the issue with the VUDOToGo application. Not that big of deal, just have a title bar on the top of the screen and start bar on the bottom. Windows PC 8.1 Clicking Full screen from the app shows black screen and has sound only. All drivers, hardware etc are new and updated as necessary.

            I have the exact same issue with a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet, but I found a workaround from a few years ago on this forum that works for me:

            Start playing your movie, expand to full screen, if no video then close movie window (not the entire vudu app).
            Then start playing your movie again, expand to full screen, and it should work now.

            Doing this sometimes rewinds the movie to the beginning, not sure why.
