Firewall Blocking UDP Packets - Problem?

I got tired of the router for my router/modem combo from Comcast so I went out and bought a D-Link DGL4100. I configured my new router with my static ip/gateway/dns servers assigned to me by Comcast and have the firewall turned off for it in the Comcast router. I like it a lot. Even after I fixed my problem with the Comcast router locking up that I mentioned on the other thread, there were glitches over the week. Everything seems to run much smoother with this.

My question is that this router has a log and I found a bunch of entries in it where UDP packets that appear to be destined for my Vudu boxes are getting blocked. For example:

[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:18:03 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 68.100.48.136:8101 to 173.11.91.145:53975
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:18:03 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 76.190.134.218:8101 to 173.11.91.145:53975
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:14:02 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 98.210.18.82:8101 to 173.11.91.145:53975
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:08:12 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 68.196.171.96:8101 to 173.11.91.145:37823
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:08:12 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 69.113.92.64:8101 to 173.11.91.145:37823
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:08:12 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 74.68.145.113:8101 to 173.11.91.145:37823
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:08:12 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 65.35.185.122:8101 to 173.11.91.145:37823
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:08:12 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 67.161.197.109:39576 to 173.11.91.145:37823
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:08:12 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 76.91.91.204:8101 to 173.11.91.145:37823
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:08:12 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 98.165.133.73:40069 to 173.11.91.145:37823
[INFO] Sat Apr 18 09:08:12 2009 Blocked incoming UDP packet from 24.21.194.72:8101 to 173.11.91.145:37823

There aren't so many entries to make me think that Vudu just isn't working properly, and I do have the green network light and am able to watch movies. Also, there are similar sets of entries for my other Vudu boxes so it isn't specific to any particular boxes. Are these occasional bunches of blocked packets to be expected or are they an indication of a problem of any kind? I just want to make sure that my firewall isn't doing something that it shouldn't be doing.

That is normal behavior of the VUDU box. I have been logging the VUDU since the early days and I get 40 to 100 inbound blocked UDP requests per day on port 8101 with both my VUDU's running. Don't be surprised of other "probes" against your home network when reviewing the logs.

When I ran a report of probes against my router I ended up with these numbers over 60 days:

    Port 1098: 150,230
    Port 1168: 90,587
    Port 1214: 78,059
    Port 1180: 74,134
    Port 1159: 59,193
    Port 1187: 53,154
    Port 1099: 52,800
    Port 8101: 21,197

Thanks Ron. I won't worry about it then. It is nice to be able to see what my router is doing again. I don't have anything kind to say about the SMC8014.
