Asus Transformer T300 no offline playing

I have an Asus Transformer and playing the 3 or 4 UV movies I own or the10 free ones I got from the Google app works only 50% of the time while I'm connected to my WiFi. I get an error of unable to support unable to play due to SDHC or something like that. I'm trying to reproduce the error as I type but I'm getting only a black screen of death.... I get this the other half of the time. I hit play SD, even though I bought it on bluesy and my transfformer has HD. I get the buffering screen for 10 seconds then nothing. Vudo has stopped working.

When I'm offline and already downloaded the movie I hit play and all I get is the blue buffering bar infill my battery runs out 7 hours later.

Please tell me there is an explanation for this and it can be fixed.

I think you hit the issue of ANR that we are trying to fix. At this time please continue to hit Android BACK until you completely exit the app (you may have to go to Apps setting to Force close it). After that please relaunch and it should solve your playback issue.

We are working on the fix for this ANR.

    Thanks,
    LLN

Thank you, I have been doing as you said. But what about off-line play, i just get the blue buffering logo and it never ends.. ever... no matter how many times i try.. i thought it was some crazy thing like it had to play first with my network on then it would unlock or something... but nope...

As of now i will wait for the lock up issue and just keep retrying it but the off line thing kills.

Thanks again and i will be keeping my eye open for a fix....

PS how about a locked thread of known devices with reported issues... then we could look at that and see if its known or in the works....

I am sorry that I have never seen your issue so please work with me steps by step to see what could be your problem. I still have no clue so I am going to ask some questions may or may not seem relevant, but it may give me some general picture of the problem is.
        - Is yours rooted?
        - what is the VUDU app version? (sorry some people doesn't have it on auto update and never check for update).
        - Do you have Adobe Air installed? If so can you upgrade to current one? - check playback issue
        - Are you sure the download completed before you tried to play? You can turn on Air-plan mode and it would switch to offline completely. After it switches to offline, please check My Download to see if the movie has option to play. If it does have option to play then the download for the movie is completed. If it only has option to delete then it may not have been completed.
        - After confirming you got completed download and you still have issue, consider the following:
. complete reboot - check playback issue
. remove, reinstall VUDU app - check playback issue.
. delete the downloaded movie, redownload - check offline playback issue

I am so sorry that we don't have your issue so we don't have a clue and just have some suggestions like this. If it's common you would have seen it from this forum or reviews but I have never seen it before.

Please work with me on your problem.

        Thanks,
        LLN

I will try to answer all your questions...
No my transformer is not rooted, im running Android 4.2.1.
The Vudo app version is 1.3.203, with auto update on.
As for Adobe Air, I didnt have it installed and seen that some people had it so I installed it thinking I would need it. Before and after download i still have the same problem. Adobe Air version 3.7.0.166.
I am sure that the download was complete, I waited for it to finnish then downloaded a second movie...After it was done with that I downloaded 2 selections at a time to see what would happen and it downloded the first then the second.
When I start the app with no Wifi connection and airplane mode enabled the only screen that comes up is my movies that I have downloaded. Each has a picture for each movie i downloaded, and blow it are the words "delete" in a box. If i click on the photo it goes into buffering mode untill i run out of power or it gets a blue scren of death, in this case a black screen with just a gray bar at the top.

I have not reloaded the movies or the app. I figure that should be a last ditch effort.

I tried any combination but I could not reproduce your issue. Please PM me your email address registered w/ VUDU so I can check on server side (I doubt if it can be any related).

If you don't want to delete the current download, can you try to download the 3rd movie and then playback?

            Thanks,
            LLN

I just joined this forum and was glancing through. Saw this post and thought my comment might help. SpeedySteveInc, why don't you try deleting the app altogether and re-install the latest version (1.4.229). I have a TFT300T and I have no problems at all playing online or offline.
