VUDU IOS 7.0 Update - Will it have HD streaming?

In IOS 7, Apple updated their video app to allow HD Streaming of Itunes purchases. As of today, Flixster's IOS app update will offer HD streaming for UV titles:

"HD Streaming for select titles on iPhone 4 and above, iPad 2 AND ABOVE. We are gradually expanding our HD catalog so you can watch your favorite movies in HD"

Will VUDU follow suit and also offer HD streaming in an IOS 7 update of its app? Surely if Flixster can do it, there shouldn't be an issue with VUDU as well should there?

I very much enjoy VUDU, but I know myself and many others here would enjoy the option to view our HDX purchases in HDX on our phones but especially tablets

I wholeheartedly agree that HDX access to our Vudu (and Ultraviolet) purchases is long overdue for us iOS users. I submitted a message to this forum that is almost identical to yours earlier today, PrznMovieFan, but I don't think the moderators have posted it yet.

I have to believe that Vudu HDX access will be coming soon to our iPads and iPhones. The fact that we don't have it yet really seems counter to what Vudu stands and strives for: the best-quality high definition video available online.

I tried out the Flixter upgrade and while all of the movies aren't HD yet, the rollout is apparently underway. The HD is not HDX quality, but it is much better than it was in SD! Vudu has a real opportunity here to take the lead on iOS!

I don't count on it. They are too slow updating their apps. They still can't even fix watch downloaded movies... What a letdown!

October 21st and still no IOS 7 app update. The app will not play downloaded movies unless your have an internet connection. This make watching movies when flying impossible. Please fix this Vudo!

Vudu, it has been several months since I posed this question. Could I please receive an update from you on when we can watch and download our HDX purchases on IOS devices? I think many of us feel that since we have paid Vudu for the right to access our HDX purchases in the HDX format, we deserve to do so on one of the most popular operating systems in existence today: IOS.

I, and many others, would appreciate an answer to this, please.

          Thanks!

I honestly don't get it. "Licensing conflicts" are no excuse, it's 2014, I've had my VUDU collection since Prometheus came out for pity's sake, and I can only watch HDX movies that I paid for on my PS4.

If I went to WalMart and paid for a 60" 1080p TV and instead they gave me a dusty old Sony 27" SD tv, I think they'd probably do what they had to do to give me the product I purchased from their store?

When is the real VUDU app with HD streaming coming out? I'm tired of hijacking Safari to get inferior versions of the superior movies I bought. And yes, I realize the significance of this in my daily life is not very large, but apparently enough to write a few sentences about... Come on guys! Step into the present and give us a reason to keep using your service!

The newest iOS app update includes a video quality setting. As of yet, it does not appear to have any affect. Does this mean there may be plans for HD playback in the future? As nice as the recent improvements to the app are (and they are very nice), it's all a bit of a moot point if the movies ultimately play back in poor quality. This has simply been going on for way too long. When Flixster started to get HD playback, I thought Vudu would not be far behind. But that time came and went. If Vudu and UltraViolet are really meant to lure people from using iTunes, then this issue is the sticking point.
